<p><p><b>Location : </b> Bangalore, Karnataka, India<br/><br/><b>Department : </b> 5G Engineering<br/><br/><b>Employment Type : </b> Full-Time, Onsite<br/><br/><b>Experience Level : </b> 12 -15 years<br/><br/><b>Reports To : </b> Senior Director of Engineering -5G</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>About the Role : </b></p><p><b><br/></b></p><p>We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead our FPGA Design Group within the 5G Engineering team in Bangalore.

The role involves overseeing the development of advanced FPGA-based solutions for complete 5G RU systems which include 10G/25G/100G ethernet, ORAN and other critical DL/UL signal processing components.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in FPGA design, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record in delivering high-performance solutions for 5G wireless communication systems.</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities & Requirements : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>The role involves around 20% team management and 80% in technical Requirement : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Proficient in VHDL/Verilog and System Verilog for RTL design, Digital Electronics and Verification.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in FPGA device selection/decision and resource estimation, critical timing analysis is a must.<br/><br/></p><p>- Lead the FPGA engineers during complete FPGA design, development and debug cycles.<br/><br/></p><p>- Architect and optimize FPGA designs using Xilinx/Altera tools to meet stringent timing, power, and area constraints.<br/><br/></p><p>- Able to understand the specification / customer requirements and able to bifurcate the specification as RTL modules and software modules.<br/><br/></p><p>- Should be able to understand the hardware design, schematics, embedded design and mixed signal paths.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Tcl, Python) for automation of FPGA design flows.<br/><br/></p><p>- Should be able to guide the team in writing test bench and testcases to run the behavioral/timing simulations.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong understanding of 3GPP 5G NR standards and RF system (mixed signals) will be advantage.<br/><br/></p><p>- Good hands on with AXI, PCIe, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, JESD204B/C protocols etc is a must.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience with MATLAB and Simulink is an added advantage<br/><br/></p><p>- Should be well versed in using CRO, VSA, Multimeter, signal Analyzers and other Management : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- 12-15 years of experience in FPGA design and development, with at least 5 years in technical leadership and management role.

Able to manage a small team of 4-10 member FPGA team.<br/><br/></p><p>- Other than 5G, role also involves handling other FPGA projects where the person may be fully individual contributor or may work with small FPGA team.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (RF, DSP, embedded, and systems engineering) to define system requirements and integrate FPGA designs as required.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource estimates, ensuring on-time delivery of FPGA deliverables.<br/><br/></p><p>- Manage risks, track progress, and communicate updates to stakeholders and senior management.<br/><br/></p><p>- Drive the adoption of best practices in FPGA design, including high-level synthesis (HLS), IP integration, and automated verification flows.<br/><br/></p><p>- Stay updated on emerging FPGA technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance team capabilities.<br/><br/></p><p>- Interact with customers to understand requirements and present technical solutions as and when project/ situation demands.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with FPGA vendors (e.g., AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera) to leverage new device features and resolve tool-related issues.</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>Soft Skills : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing technical depth with project deadlines.<br/><br/></p><p>- Problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.<br/><br/></p><p>- Define team goals, assign tasks, and ensure timely delivery of FPGA designs aligned with project Qualifications : </b>B.E/B.
