The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in managing Nutanix products, deep Linux administration skills, and proficiency in virtualization, storage, and networking concepts.
This role requires problem-solving abilities, proactive monitoring, and ensuring high availability and performance of enterprise systems.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Manage, configure, and maintain Nutanix Enterprise Cloud Platform, including AHV (Acropolis Hypervisor), Prism Central/Prism Element, and related components.<br/><br/></p><p>- Perform Linux system administration (installation, upgrades, patching, kernel tuning, troubleshooting, user management, security hardening).<br/><br/></p><p>- Oversee virtualization environments, primarily Nutanix AHV, with exposure to VMware vSphere or Microsoft Hyper-V.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement, monitor, and support storage solutions (e.g., EMC, NetApp, Nutanix Files/Volumes) within hyperconverged infrastructure.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure seamless integration of compute, storage, and network resources.<br/><br/></p><p>- Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies within Nutanix and Linux environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proactively monitor system health, performance, and capacity planning.<br/><br/></p><p>- Troubleshoot complex issues related to Linux OS, virtualization, and Nutanix platforms, ensuring minimal downtime.<br/><br/></p><p>- Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles for system operations.<br/><br/></p><p>- Provide L2/L3 support and mentor junior team members on Linux and Nutanix operations.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Experience :</b><br/><br/>- 5-8 years of proven experience in Linux Administration (Red Hat, CentOS, or Ubuntu preferred).<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV, Prism, and hyperconverged infrastructure management.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (Nutanix AHV a must, VMware/Hyper-V added advantage).<br/><br/></p><p>- Solid understanding of storage technologies (EMC, NetApp, Nutanix Files/Volumes, iSCSI, NFS, SAN).<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls) in a data center environment.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with scripting/automation (Bash, Python, Ansible, or PowerShell) is a plus.<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery strategies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to resolve critical issues under pressure.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work in cross-functional teams.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
