<p><p><b>Job Title : </b> Software Engineer - AI/ML/GenAI<br/><br/><b>Location : </b> Chennai - Onsite - Hybrid<br/><br/><b>Notice Period : </b> Joining within 30 Days only<br/><br/><b>Job Summary : </b><br/><br/>We are seeking a highly qualified and innovative Data Scientist to join our ambitious Product & Program Definition Transformation team.
In this role, you will be central to developing the intelligent systems that power our move to a future-state Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment.
You will apply your expertise to solve complex, real-world problems at the heart of our engineering and business processes.
Your work will directly contribute to the development of our Intelligent Transition Model and a suite of AI-Powered Accelerators designed to provide actionable insights from massive, diverse datasets.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities : </b><br/><br/>- Design and build scalable AI/ML models to automate the decomposition and transformation of legacy artifacts (e.g., Program Direction Letters, Order Guides, Bills of Materials) into a future-state data model.<br/><br/>- Develop analytics prototypes and accelerators to generate actionable insights for all project workstreams, including Value Stream Mapping (VSM) generation, relationship analysis, and complexity metrics.<br/><br/>- Partner with business and architecture teams to translate complex and often ambiguous business logic into robust, scalable, and automated solutions.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills and Experience : </b><br/><br/>- 3+ years of hands-on experience in applying advanced machine learning and AI techniques.<br/><br/><b>- AI & Machine Learning Expertise : </b><br/><br/>- Generative AI & LLMs : Demonstrated experience applying Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to solve complex business problems.
This includes expertise in advanced prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, and using LLM APIs to automate the decomposition of unstructured text and business artifacts.<br/><br/>- Natural Language Processing (NLP) & Text Mining : Proven ability to apply NLP techniques to extract structured information, rules, and relationships from unstructured or semi-structured documents.<br/><br/>- Deep Learning : Proficiency in deep learning principles, including the design and implementation of neural networks and an understanding of transformer architectures.<br/><br/>- Classical Machine Learning : Strong foundation in applying traditional ML algorithms such as clustering, classification, decision trees, random forests, and support vector machines.<br/><br/><b>- Data & Programming Skills : </b><br/><br/>- Programming Languages : Strong proficiency in Python, including libraries like Pandas and NumPy.<br/><br/>- Data Processing and Wrangling : Extensive experience processing and wrangling both structured (e.g., BOMs, tabular data) and unstructured data from various formats and sources.<br/><br/><b>- Mindset & Problem-Solving : </b><br/><br/>- First Principles & Systems Thinking : A proven ability to deconstruct complex legacy processes using a first-principles approach to understand root causes.<br/><br/>- Inquisitive and Tenacious Mindset : Excellent problem-solving skills with a proven ability to challenge existing practices and uncover the logic behind established processes.<br/><br/>- Collaborative & Outcome-Oriented : A strong team player driven to build practical, scalable solutions that deliver tangible business value.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Skills and Experience : </b><br/><br/>- Big Data & Cloud Technologies : Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is highly preferred, especially with services such as Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, DBT, and NoSQL databases.<br/><br/>- Programming Languages : Experience with other analytical languages such as R, MATLAB, or SAS.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with the Hadoop Ecosystem.<br/><br/><b>Education : </b><br/><br/>- Required : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
