<p><p><b>What We Offer : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>At Magna, you can expect an engaging and dynamic environment where you can help to develop industry-leading automotive technologies.<br/><br/>We invest in our employees, providing them with the support and resources they need to succeed.<br/><br/>As a member of our global team, you can expect exciting, varied responsibilities as well as a wide range of development prospects.<br/><br/>Because we believe that your career path should be as unique as you are.<br/><br/><b>Group Summary : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>Magna is more than one of the worlds largest suppliers in the automotive space.<br/><br/>We are a mobility technology company built to innovate, with a global, entrepreneurial-minded team.<br/><br/>With 65+ years of expertise, our ecosystem of interconnected products combined with our complete vehicle expertise uniquely positions us to advance mobility in an expanded transportation landscape.<br/><br/><b>Job Responsibilities : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>Magnas Factory of the Future team is looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help us build and maintain our cutting edge microservices based platforms.<br/><br/>The ideal candidate will have a solid background in DevOps engineering or in a similar software engineering role and be familiar with Python or NodeJS.<br/><br/>The DevOps Engineer will work with our engineering team to ensure the standards are followed and works as intended.<br/><br/><b>Responsibilities : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Proactively identify performance improvements in areas like responsiveness, availability, and scale - especially for connected cloud and edge solutions utilizing Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, or other container orchestration platforms.<br/><br/>- Design, build, and manage infrastructure on AWS with high availability, observability, and scalability in mind.<br/><br/>- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using best practices, including pipeline linting, policy enforcement, and automated testing.<br/><br/>- Build and manage Kubernetes resources including custom controllers and operators (preferably in Go), managing the lifecycle of edge/IoT applications.<br/><br/>- Implement GitOps workflows using tools such as ArgoCD or FluxCD to manage Kubernetes environments declaratively.<br/><br/>- Integrate and maintain observability stacks (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry) to ensure comprehensive insight into infrastructure and application behavior.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with development teams to ensure containerized applications are designed and deployed securely and reliably.<br/><br/>- Contribute to the evolution of platform architecture by developing reusable components and infrastructure patterns.<br/><br/>- Troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.<br/><br/>- Evaluate new technologies and tools, and make recommendations to improve automation, performance, and reliability.<br/><br/><b>Qualifications : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineer role supporting production systems.<br/><br/>- Strong experience in Go (Golang) for tooling, automation, or Kubernetes operator development.<br/><br/>- Experience with AWS, including core services like EC2, IAM, S3, VPC, EKS, etc.<br/><br/>- Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes).<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, or equivalent.<br/><br/>- Experience with Git and GitHub workflows.<br/><br/>- Deep understanding of infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform.<br/><br/>- Expertise in Linux system administration and Bash scripting.<br/><br/>- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems and communicate findings clearly and effectively.<br/><br/>- Experience deploying and maintaining observability tooling : Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Loki, or similar.<br/><br/>- Demonstrated success supporting high-scale IoT or Edge deployments on Kubernetes.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Qualifications : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with Amazon EKS and workload scaling strategies.<br/><br/>- Experience developing Kubernetes operators/controllers using the controller-runtime or Operator SDK (in Go).<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with GitOps tools : ArgoCD or FluxCD.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with Helm and Docker Compose.<br/><br/>- Understanding of cloud-native security best practices and policy enforcement (OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno).<br/><br/>- Background in manufacturing or industrial IoT is a plus.<br/><br/>- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field - or equivalent practical experience.<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
