Dream big and create the future of mobility at Magna Powertrain.</p><br/><p><b>Job Responsibilities :</b></p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>Job Introduction : </b></p><br/> <p>The Software & HIL Test Engineer is responsible for the design and development of validation documentation, software, SIL models, HIL models, test scripts and components.</p><br/> <p>Working from broad specifications, the engineer not only performs, but is responsible for guiding engineering activities.</p><br/> <p>As an entry level engineer, you will support a team that develops and validates drive systems for future electric and hybrid vehicles as well as other electric drives in motor vehicles.</p><br/> <p>The engineer will work independently to perform a variety of basic engineering assignments with varied responsibility but may require some guidance and direction from a senior engineer/mentor or manager.</p><br/> <p><b>Major Responsibilities :</b></p><br/> <p>- Analysing requirements, developing/automating Test cases and conducting tests on Hardware in the Loop (HiL) systems for the software of Powertrain systems.</p><br/> <p>- Performing software integration test and qualification tests on the HiL system.</p><br/> <p>- Debugging and log analysis.</p><br/> <p>- Documentation and reporting </p><p><br/></p><p>- Create documentation related to test cases, test reports, best practices and lessons learnt, issues reporting.</p><br/> <p>- Contribute to continuous improvement, share knowledge and support to team.</p><br/> <p>- Supporting, setting up, and modifying HiL systems HiL infra.</p><br/> <p>- Designing, Simulation and maintaining the test environment HiL infra.</p><br/> <p><b>Knowledge and Education : </b></p><br/> <p>- Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.</p><br/> <p><b>Work Experience : </b></p><br/> <p>- 4+ years of relevant professional experience in the automotive industry as a software tester.</p><br/> <p><b>Skills And Competencies : </b></p><br/> <p>- Understanding of Power traine Drive systems, Transfer Case.</p><br/> <p>- Strong programming skills preferably in Python, CAPL or m-script.</p><br/> <p>- Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink, experience with dSpace systems 3+ years.</p><br/> <p>- Test automation tools such as vTestStudio, ECU-Test(added advantage).</p><br/> <p>- Experience with Requirements tools DOORS, DOORS NG, IBM JAZZ, PTC, Source controlSVN, GitHub(added advantage).</p><br/> <p>- Experience on Debuggers(Lauterbach), flashing toolsvFlash, DiagRA.</p><br/> <p>- Experience with Vector Tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape, CANoe.<br/>DiVa).</p><br/> <p>- UDS/OBD protocol testing, experience with GM CG testing is a plus.</p><br/> <p>- Ideally, familiarity with Functional Safety (ISO26262), Cybersecurity, ASPICE and Software Testing ISTQB Foundation Level.</p><br/> <p>- Knowledge on different Microcontroller devices, SW architectures(AUTOSAR).</p><br/> <p>- Knowledge on Bootloader concepts.</p><br/> <p><b>Work Environment :</b></p><br/> <p>- Regular Overnight Travel.</p><br/> <p>- For dedicated and motivated employees, we offer an interesting and diversified job within a dynamic global team together with the individual and functional development in a professional environment of a global acting business.</p><br/> <p>- Fair treatment and a sense of responsibility towards employees are the principle of the Magna culture.</p><br/> <p>- We strive to offer an inspiring and motivating work environment.</p><p></p><br/><p></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
