Offices in over 35 countries.</p><p><br/>India is a major operational hub, with as its U.S. Title :</b> Mainframe System :</b> Chennai , :</b> Mode :</b> Hybrid.</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>Job Type :</b> Full Time.</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>Notice Period :</b> Immediate joiners to 90 Days.</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>Job Description :</b></p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Manage DB2 ZPARM settings and optimize system parameters.<br/><br/></p><p>- Use tools like IBM Omegamon, CA Insight, and BMC Mainview for performance monitoring.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong knowledge of IBM utilities (REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, UNLOAD).<br/><br/></p><p>- Troubleshoot DB2 system issues, diagnose performance bottlenecks.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Coordinate with vendors for PMR ticket resolution and issue debugging.<br/><br/></p><p>- Support transactional environments like CICS and IMS with Skills and Experience :</b></p><p><b><br/></b></p>- 7+ Yrs experience in DB2 subsystem setup (standalone & data sharing) and ZPARM tuning.<br/><br/></p><p>- Expertise in Monoplex, SYSPLEX, and data-sharing architecture.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong knowledge of DB2 DRDA architecture, backup & recovery (image copy, FLASH, mirroring).<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in REXX/CLIST, ISPF programming, and CICS/IMS-DB2 interface.<br/><br/></p><p>- Expertise in SMP/E, DB2 software migration (V12, V13), and maintenance.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with unsupported/new DB2 z/OS features, compilers, and debugging.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience handling PMR tickets and DB2 security/health checks.<br/><br/></p><p>- Installation & maintenance of IBM tools (OMEGAMON, DB2 Admin, HPU).</p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with Broadcom (RC Migration, Fast Load/Unload) and BMC Skills and Experience :</b></p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Strong knowledge of IBM utilities (REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, UNLOAD).<br/><br/></p><p>- Expertise in DB2 traces, SMF, RMF, WLM, and performance reports.<br/><br/></p><p>- Tuning virtual storage (Buffer Pool, EDM Pool, thread storage).<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with monitoring tools (IBM Omegamon, CA Insight, BMC Mainview).</p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with DB2 Connect, IBM Data Studio, and DB2 Cloning.<br/><br/></p><p>- SAP/DB2 & PeopleSoft/DB2 architecture knowledge, high availability solutions.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
