This is an onsite position requiring flexibility to work UK shift timings.<br/><br/><b>Location & Shift : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>Location : Bangalore / Hyderabad / Chennai, India (Local applicants preferred)</p><p><br/>Shift : UK Shift Timings (Specific hours to be determined based on business needs)<br/><br/></p><p>Employment Type : Full-time, Onsite<br/><br/><b>Key Requirements & Experience : Minimum 5+ years of dedicated experience in Manual Quality Assurance (QA), with a significant focus on the Telecom OSS/BSS domain.</p><p><br/>Immediate Availability : This role is for an immediate joiner (or candidates with a maximum notice period of 15 days).<br/><br/></p><p>Domain Expertise : Strong, hands-on experience in one or more of the following core </p><p>telecommunications areas : <br/><br/></p><p>- Billing<br/><br/></p><p>- Order Management<br/><br/></p><p>- Provisioning<br/><br/></p><p>- Operational Support Systems (OSS)<br/><br/></p><p>- Business Support Systems (BSS)<br/><br/></p><p>QA Process Mastery : Proven expertise in the end-to-end QA lifecycle, including : <br/><br/></p><p>- Detailed Test Case Creation (writing comprehensive, traceable test cases from requirements).<br/><br/></p><p>- Systematic Test Execution (functional, regression, system integration testing).<br/><br/></p><p>- Effective Defect Tracking & Reporting (using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, etc.).<br/><br/></p><p>Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for </p><p>collaborating with cross-functional teams located globally and reporting effectively.<br/><br/></p><p>- Database Knowledge (Nice to Have) : Proficiency in SQL and database validation techniques </p><p>(e.g., querying data, validating transactions, data integrity checks) is a strong advantage.<br/><br/><b>Core Responsibilities :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>As a Manual QA Engineer, you will be a vital part of our quality assurance team, responsible for delivering high-quality, reliable telecommunications solutions.
Your primary responsibilities will include :</p><p><br/></p><p>- Test Strategy & Design : Analyze business and technical requirements to design, implement, </p><p>and maintain comprehensive, reusable test cases and test scripts.<br/><br/></p><p>- Test Execution : Execute functional, system integration, regression, and UAT test cycles in a </p><p>timely and efficient manner, specifically tailored for telecom domain applications (OSS/BSS flows).<br/><br/></p><p>- Defect Management : Accurately identify, document, and record bugs in the defect tracking system, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution and retesting.<br/><br/></p><p>- Process Improvement : Evaluate and analyze the current testing processes, methodologies, and tools, making proactive recommendations for necessary improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.<br/><br/></p><p>- Reporting : Provide clear, concise, and timely status updates, test execution reports, and quality metrics to stakeholders.<br/><br/><b>Qualifications : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.<br/><br/></p><p>- Relevant Experience : Minimum of 1+ years of relevant testing experience (though 5+ years in the telecom domain is mandatory for this senior role).<br/><br/></p><p>- Technical Acumen : Foundational understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts, which aids in understanding application architecture and effective testing.<br/><br/></p><p>- Teamwork : A proactive and collaborative team player with a strong work ethic, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively with global teams during the required UK shift hours.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
