<p><p><b>Job Summary : </b></p><br/><p>We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Test Engineer with strong expertise in Java and Appium to lead our test automation efforts for mobile and web applications.</p><br/><p>In this role, you will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to define testing strategies, drive automation frameworks, and ensure high product quality across releases.</p><br/><p><b>Key Responsibilities : </b></p><br/><p>- Lead test planning, test design, and execution for mobile and web applications.</p><br/><p>- Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable automation frameworks using Java and Appium.</p><br/><p>- Implement automated tests for Android and iOS platforms, ensuring cross-device compatibility and performance.</p><br/><p>- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar).</p><br/><p>- Guide and mentor junior QA engineers in automation best practices and framework usage.</p><br/><p>- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev, Product, DevOps) to resolve issues and improve quality.</p><br/><p>- Conduct code reviews and maintain coding standards across test scripts.</p><br/><p>- Track and report key quality metrics such as defect densities, test coverage, and automation ROI.</p><br/><p>- Participate in release activities and ensure timely sign-offs from QA.</p><br/><p><b>Required Skills and Qualifications : </b></p><br/><p>- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.</p><br/><p>- 6+ years of experience in QA, with at least 3+ years in test automation.</p><br/><p>- Strong programming skills in Java.</p><br/><p>- Expertise in Appium for mobile test automation (iOS and Android).</p><br/><p>- Experience with automation frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, Maven/Gradle.</p><br/><p>- Familiarity with mobile testing tools (e.g., ADB, XCUITest, Espresso is a plus).</p><br/><p>- Experience with source control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).</p><br/><p>- Good understanding of REST APIs and tools like Postman or RestAssured.</p><br/><p>- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
