<p><p><b>Location : </b> Mumbai.<br/><br/> <b>Department : </b> Data Engineering / Development.<br/><br/> <b>Job Summary : </b><br/><br/> We are looking for a skilled and motivated Database Professional with hands-on experience in Amazon Redshift and MySQL to join our growing data team.<br/><br/> In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining complex database systems that power data-driven decision-making across the organization.<br/><br/> <b>Key Responsibilities : </b><br/><br/> - Design and develop database objects (tables, views, procedures, UDFs) in Amazon Redshift and MySQL.<br/><br/> - Write, test, and optimize complex SQL queries and data pipelines.<br/><br/> - Fine tune slow queries and in different scenarios to achieve best performance.<br/><br/> - Data life-cycle management for high volume system with the help of Data Partitioning.<br/><br/> - Rolling out various schema changes across environments.<br/><br/> - Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows to ingest data from various sources into Redshift / MySql.<br/><br/> - Support data migration from legacy MySQL systems to Redshift-based warehouse.<br/><br/> - Analyze and resolve performance issues, including indexing and query optimization.<br/><br/> - Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems.<br/><br/> - Maintain schema documentation and data lineage information.<br/><br/> - Work closely with different teams to fulfill data requirements.<br/><br/> <b>Required Qualifications : </b><br/><br/>- Bachelor's degree in Engineering , Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.<br/><br/>- 3 - 6 years of hands-on experience in database development using Amazon Redshift and MySQL OR any other RDBMS systems.<br/><br/>- Experience in handling large volume of databases is plus.<br/><br/>- Experience in SQL query writing and Python coding.<br/><br/>- Should be able to debug the code.<br/><br/>- Proficient in writing stored procedures, Triggers, views, and custom functions.<br/><br/>- Should be result oriented and available on critical situations.<br/><br/>- Monitor, analyze, and improve query performance using EXPLAIN, vacuum, analyze, WLM queues, and distribution styles.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with data migration, replication, and CDC (change data capture) concepts.<br/><br/> <b>Preferred Skills : </b><br/><br/>- Experience with MySQL, AWS Redshift , Python or Shell scripting or any other programing language for automation.<br/><br/>- Exposure to ETL tools and AWS Cloud, Apache Airflow, or custom pipelines.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with data lake architecture and S3 integrations.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of access control and permissions management in Redshift and MySQL.<br/><br/> <b>Soft Skills : </b><br/><br/>- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.<br/><br/>- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
