<p><p><b>About Us :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Mirabel Technologies is the worlds leader in media management software for the publishing industry with over 15,000 websites, magazines, and newspapers in 20 different countries who use Mirabel Products.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>This dynamic technology company is based in the booming seaside city of Fort Lauderdale, two blocks from beautiful Las Olas Boulevard and is known for its creative entrepreneurial environment and high employee retention levels.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Mirabel recently launched Mirabel's Marketing Manager, a cutting-edge marketing technology startup product that focuses on email marketing, lead identification, customer relationship management, prospecting and data appending tools.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>The company is looking for dynamic Summary :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>We are seeking a skilled and proactive PostgreSQL Developer / Administrator to join our team in Hyderabad.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both database development and administration, with a focus on performance tuning, high availability, and operational efficiency in production PostgreSQL environmentsboth self-hosted and cloud-based (AWS Aurora).<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>We are specifically looking for a candidate with hands-on experience in migrating databases from Microsoft SQL Server to PostgreSQL, including schema conversion, data transformation, and query Responsibilities :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Design and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Work with PostgreSQL-specific data types like JSONB, HSTORE, etc.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Implement scalable data models, schemas, and version-controlled migrations<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with development teams to integrate business logic into the database :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases on VMs and AWS Aurora<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Handle backups, replication (streaming/logical), recovery (PITR), and patching<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Perform query tuning, indexing, and configuration optimization (e.g., work_mem, shared_buffers)<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Monitor performance using tools such as pgAdmin, pgBadger, CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Manage user roles, permissions, and ensure database security and compliance<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Support CI/CD integration and automation for database changes<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Troubleshoot and resolve database incidents in production environments<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Lead or support migration projects from MS SQL Server to PostgreSQL, ensuring data accuracy and Skills :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL development and DBA tasks<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in SQL and PL/pgSQL<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience in migrating databases from Microsoft SQL Server to PostgreSQL<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Deep understanding of query tuning, performance analysis, and indexing strategies<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with AWS Aurora PostgreSQL and PostgreSQL configuration tuning<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with Linux/Ubuntu CLI and shell scripting<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with tablespaces, partitioning, replication, and high availability setups<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Hands-on with backup tools like pg_dump, pg_basebackup, and AWS-native solutions<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Ability to integrate PostgreSQL into CI/CD Skills (Good to Have) :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Exposure to MS SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Understanding of RDBMS vs NoSQL use cases<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with database migration tools such as pgLoader or AWS DMS</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>Tools & Platforms :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Version Control : GitHub, Bitbucket<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Monitoring : pgBadger, Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Project Management : Qualifications :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Certifications in PostgreSQL, AWS, or Linux administration are a plus<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps practices<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
