<p><p><b>Description : </b> <br/><br/>Position : BI Engineer <br/><br/>Duration : Full Time<br/><br/>Exp : 5+ years<br/><br/>Primary skills : Power BI<br/><br/><b>Job Description : </b> <br/><br/>We are looking for a detail-oriented BI Engineer to design and develop Power BI dashboards and semantic models leveraging data hosted in Microsoft Fabric.
The BI Engineer will translate complex financial and operational data into intuitive reports that drive transparency, compliance, and audit readiness.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities : </b> <br/><br/>- Develop Power BI reports and dashboards supporting audit, finance, procurement, and operations requirements.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with Data Engineers to define semantic layer structures and optimize DAX calculations.<br/><br/>- Build and maintain data models and relationships for historical datasets (Invoices, POs, Shipments, GL entries, etc.).<br/><br/>- Implement row-level and role-based access controls (RBAC) in Power BI for data security.<br/><br/>- Ensure report performance tuning, validation, and visual consistency across modules.<br/><br/>- Participate in requirement analysis and design sessions with business and audit stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Support data lineage, version control, and documentation to ensure traceability and audit compliance.<br/><br/>- Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for client SMEs and end users.<br/><br/>- Contribute to testing and validation activities to ensure accuracy and reliability of visualizations.<br/><br/>- Manage report publishing, workspace access, and deployment to production.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills and Experience : </b> <br/><br/>- 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Power BI development.<br/><br/>- Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling techniques.<br/><br/>- Experience integrating with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data Lake environments.<br/><br/>- Ability to translate complex financial/operational requirements into analytical dashboards.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in Power BI administration - workspace management, gateways, and permissions.<br/><br/>- Experience implementing RBAC and audit traceability in Power BI.<br/><br/>- Understanding of data governance, compliance (SOX, GxP, HIPAA), and documentation best practices.<br/><br/>- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Qualifications : </b> <br/><br/>- Microsoft Certified : Power BI Data Analyst Associate or Fabric BI Engineer Associate.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with finance, procurement, or logistics business processes.<br/><br/>- Experience working in agile environments and participating in sprint reviews.<br/><br/>- Exposure to advanced analytics integration (AI visuals, Copilot for Power BI).</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
