</p><p><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate will be a specialist in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and possess deep expertise in modern CI/CD practices using GitLab and Argo CD.
</p><p><br/></p><p>This role involves leading the management of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring the reliability and scalability of our services, and collaborating with a distributed, global team to implement best practices and SRE principles.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/><b>- Cloud & Infrastructure Management :</b> Lead the management and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, with a primary focus on GCP.
Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of all cloud services, with a desirable familiarity with Rancher and Ansible for automation and orchestration.<br/><br/><b>- CI/CD & Kubernetes :</b> Design, implement, and maintain robust GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
Manage and automate Kubernetes deployments using Argo CD, Argo Workflows, and Helm, ensuring efficient and reliable orchestration.<br/><br/><b>- Automation & Observability :</b> Develop and support automation scripts to streamline workflows, with a preference for Python experience.
Implement and manage observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK/EFK to proactively monitor system performance.<br/><br/><b>- SRE & Best Practices :</b> Apply SRE practices in high-availability, always-on environments to ensure system stability and performance.
Collaborate closely with junior engineers to troubleshoot issues and implement best practices across the team.<br/><br/><b>- Collaboration & Communication :</b> Communicate effectively with team members, developers, and stakeholders across multiple time zones, primarily with an overlap with the Portugal-based team.
Work autonomously to identify and resolve issues with minimal guidance, while also providing mentorship.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- 6+ years of professional experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps roles.<br/><br/>- Strong, hands-on production experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).<br/><br/>- Proficiency with GitLab pipelines, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure management.<br/><br/>- Solid working knowledge of Kubernetes, Argo CD, Argo Workflows, Helm, and cloud-native environments.<br/><br/>- Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK/EFK.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of Linux internals and system performance.<br/><br/>- Proven ability to apply SRE practices.<br/><br/>- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.<br/><br/>- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.<br/><br/>- Flexibility to work with India time zone overlap and adapt to a global, distributed schedule.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
