<p><p><b>Description : </b><br/><br/>About the job : </p><p><br/></p><p>MRI Software looking for an experienced and skilled candidate to join our team as a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer.<br/><br/> As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible to assess software quality by designing and implementing software testing processes.<br/><br/> You will take ownership of code quality through exploratory and manual test scripts.<br/><br/> You will hunt bugs, identify issues, report them, and see that they are dealt with.<br/><br/>We perceive the QA Engineer as the knowledge bank of the business domain associated with the product(s) you will be working on and shall be the main go-to person for all team members including the developers.<br/><br/><b>Responsibilities : </b><br/><br/>- Manually test and log issues in various configurations on different databases and platforms of the product .<br/><br/>- Responsible for diagnosing minor to complex software issues.<br/><br/>- Experience with API testing preferred.<br/><br/>- Re-create defects and identify problem areas to be investigated by the Development team.<br/><br/>- Assist in the maintenance of a defect-tracking database of all issues raised relative to the product.<br/><br/>- Liaising with the development team, and product managers to provide status updates.<br/><br/>- Experience with Cucumber, Selenium WebDriver.<br/><br/>- Creation of detailed test plans, test scripts, and procedural documents from functional specs and supporting documents.<br/><br/>- Taking full ownership of keeping test documentation fully up to date.<br/><br/>- Responsible for following standards for patching fixes within multiple in-house test areas.<br/><br/>- Contributor to Automation Testing Framework, by creating and maintaining automation scripts to test the application.<br/><br/>- Increase test coverage through Web Services and/or automated UI testing.<br/><br/>- First and foremost, a real interest and passion for software testing.<br/><br/>- Solid understanding of quality processes, controls, and procedures, and the SDLC<br/><br/>- 4+ years of software testing and development experience<br/><br/>- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills<br/><br/>- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills<br/><br/>- Flexible in your approach and able to adapt to rapid change.<br/><br/>- Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership which drives you to find ways to do things better, faster, and more efficiently.<br/><br/>- Previous background with Financial and or Property systems is highly desirable.<br/><br/>- Experience with agile development practices preferred.<br/><br/>- Manual Testing<br/><br/>- May perform demonstrations of developed software to business representatives.<br/><br/>- Participates in the creation, development, and maintenance of test strategies.<br/><br/>- Writes more complex SQL statements to assist in solution implementations.<br/><br/>- Participates in research of QA solutions and/or tools that provide value to MRI software.<br/><br/>- Evaluates and enhances standards, technologies, and approaches in conjunction with senior team members.<br/><br/>- Execute security test cases as identified.<br/><br/><b>Primary Roles & Responsibilities : </b><br/><br/>- 4-6 years of hands-on experience in testing software in a structured QA environment.<br/><br/>- Solid understanding of Agile practices.<br/><br/>- Specific experience testing backend systems and business logic<br/><br/>- Able to write and execute medium to high level complexity test cases and scenarios for API, UI and integrated testing.<br/><br/>- Able to write and execute medium to high level complexity queries.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts and ability to write low and medium level complexity automated tests.<br/><br/>- Excellent communication and organization skills and the ability to work successfully with cross-functional teams.<br/><br/>- Must be able to analyze software applications to verify that various products conform to stated requirements.<br/><br/>- Collaborates with Product teams to design performance tests by finding features, functions, and services that need to be performance tested and the appropriate user/transaction/data load.<br/><br/><b>Secondary : </b><br/><br/>- Ability to lead work on small scale continuous improvement efforts.<br/><br/>- Ability and willingness to mentor junior-level associates.<br/><br/>- Able to work autonomously requiring little supervision.<br/><br/>- Recommends, champions, and implements new processes.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of formulating SQL queries is essential.<br/><br/>- Experience with Cucumber, Selenium
