<p><p><b>About MSET :</b><br/><br/>MSET is a global leader in next-generation loyalty services, offering digital-first solutions across the UK, UAE, India, and Pakistan.<br/><br/>Since 2019, we have delivered measurable returns to clients through a proprietary loyalty platform, supported by expertise in strategy, app development, data analysis, and lifecycle Overview :</b></p><p><br/>As a Senior Cloud Database Engineer, you will be responsible for administering and optimizing cloud-based databases, ensuring availability, scalability, and compliance.</p><br/>This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to integrate databases into cloud infrastructure, implement automation, and maintain best practices in data Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Administer and optimize Azure-based databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Cosmos DB).<br/><br/>- Perform schema design, indexing, query tuning, and performance monitoring.<br/><br/>- Ensure backup, recovery, high availability (HA), and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.<br/><br/>- Manage database deployments and networking (VNets, private endpoints, NSGs).<br/><br/>- Work with Azure Storage, Key Vault, App Services, AKS, and Managed Identities for secure integration.<br/><br/>- Partner with DataOps teams to:<br/><br/>- Automate database deployments via CI/CD pipelines.<br/><br/>- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).<br/><br/>- Enable monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.<br/><br/>- Support ADF pipelines and observability in database services.<br/><br/>- Implement and manage RBAC, firewall rules, and auditing for governance.<br/><br/>- Document configurations, processes, and procedures :</b></p><br/>- 5+ years experience in database administration, with 2+ years in cloud (Azure/GCP preferred).<br/><br/>- Strong hands-on expertise in Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, MySQL.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in Azure networking, monitoring, storage, and security.<br/><br/>- Experience with DevOps/DataOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of Azure compute services: App Service, AKS, Virtual Machines.<br/><br/>- Skilled in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).<br/><br/>- Proficient in scripting/automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with data pipelines and migration tools.<br/><br/>- Strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
