<p><p><b>Experience :</b> 5 + Years<br/><br/><b>Location :</b> Hyderabad<br/><br/><b>Job Summary :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p><br/>We are looking for an experienced Oracle Big Data Appliance (BDA) Engineer with a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale data platforms.<br/><br/>The role involves working with Oracle Big Data technologies, Hadoop ecosystems, and Oracle Cloud integrations to build scalable and high-performing data solutions.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p><br/>- Design, configure, and administer Oracle Big Data Appliance (BDA) environments.<br/><br/>- Perform installation, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning of BDA components.<br/><br/>- Integrate BDA with Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and other data sources.<br/><br/>- Manage and support the Hadoop ecosystem HDFS, Hive, HBase, Spark, Kafka, Oozie, and Sqoop.<br/><br/>- Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability across distributed environments.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to support ETL, data pipelines, and reporting.<br/><br/>- Automate operational tasks through shell scripting , Python and Spark.<br/><br/>- Implement and manage security, backup, and data recovery for big data environments.<br/><br/>- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize big data workloads for performance and efficiency.<br/><br/>- Scheduling with Airflow DAG.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p><br/>- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Big Data Appliance (BDA) administration and support.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of Hadoop ecosystems (Cloudera/Hortonworks).<br/><br/>- Proficiency in Linux administration, shell scripting, and Python.<br/><br/>- Experience with Oracle Database, Big Data SQL, No SQL, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), OBIEE or GoldenGate.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with data lake architecture, data governance, and security best practices.<br/><br/>- Experience with performance tuning and troubleshooting in big data environments.<br/><br/>- Working knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or similar cloud platforms.<br/><br/>- Knowledge on other ETL tools (Talend / Informatica etc.)<br/><br/>- Knowledge of Oracle EBS data flow into BDA instance.<br/><br/>- Experience working with Oracle Analytics Products (OBIEE, OAC , BI Apps, OAS).<br/><br/><b>Preferred Qualifications :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p><br/>- Oracle Certified Professional Oracle Big Data or Oracle Database certification.<br/><br/>- Experience with Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW).<br/><br/>- Exposure to machine learning or data science frameworks.<br/><br/>- Prior experience in cloud migration or hybrid architecture projects.<br/><br/>- Experience working with Oracle BI apps or other Oracle Analytics related projects.<br/><br/><b>Education :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p><br/>- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.<br/><br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
