About the Role

Position Title: Senior Software Engineer

Reporting to: Vice President / Director

Location: BCIT Campus, Bengaluru

Shift timing: 12-9 PM IST (Need to be flexible) Transport is provided within BBMP limit

Job Profile:

Position details:

Work as a Senior Analyst / Programmer within the Systems Office for EMEA’s CIB Team, supporting .Net application development and implementation.

This role will provide efficient and high-quality proactive support to back office operations.

Main responsibilities will include .net application development and maintenance work.

As the team is very small and continuously involved in a variety of projects that are at different stages, this role will need to be involved in a full systems development lifecycle covering a wide range of tasks including but not limited to; Analysis, Business Requirements, Design Documents, Application Programs, Test Scripts, Test Plans, etc.

and will perform, where required, some elements of Project Management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Undertake the design, coding, and testing of solutions using .NET, MVC, Angular, MS Access and SQL Server technologies.
- Re-use and leverage functional components from existing .net applications
- Analyse user requirements and design technical solutions to business problems.
- Document requirements, system designs/specifications and user guides as per department standards.
- Prepare test plans including test cases and coordinate UAT with users.
- Understand and apply departmental development standards and procedures.
- Provide technical support for any system related problems and queries.
- Build good working relationships with other departments and relevant business areas.

Job Requirements:

Functional / Technical Competencies:

Essential:

- 10 years’ experience in all parts of the software development cycle
- Followed Waterfall development practices.
- Followed Agile development practices, particularly XP and SCRUM.
- Worked in Financial Institutions or Banks.

.NET Development skills:

- Programming Languages: C#, VB.NET
- Frameworks: .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET (MVC, Web API)
- Front End: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and Angular
- Backend Development: REST APIs, Entity Framework, LINQ, NHibernate
- Multithreading & Asynchronous Programming: Understanding of threading and async/await in .NET
- Test Driven Development along with expertise in continuous build and Integration
- Database: SQL Server, Oracle & MS Access

Business and Domain Knowledge:

- Experience in Corporate & Investment banking processes and systems across multiple regions.
- Experience in working in the area of Asset management and monitoring of these assets.

Software Development skills:

- Designs, codes, verifies, tests, documents, amends and refactors complex programs/scripts and integration software services.

- Contributes to selection of the business analysis methods, tools and techniques for projects; selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (interactive/agile) approaches.

Desirable:

Education / Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree educated in engineering and / or equivalent experience.
