<p><p>Job Title : Network Engineer Corporate Network Deployments</p><p><br/></p><p>Duration : 6 Months<br/><br/></p><p>Location : Bangalore (IN-BLR-BCPEK Bagmane Capital Parks, Kyoto East Tower, Doddanekundi Circle, Marathahalli Post, Bangalore - 560037)<br/><br/></p><p>Work Mode : Hybrid (TueThu in-office, some weeks may require full onsite)<br/><br/></p><p>Work Schedule : Normal Business Hours</p><br/><p><b>Role Overview :</b></p><br/><p>We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our Corporate Network Deployments team for a 6-month contractual role.

This position involves designing, implementing, and operating scalable, secure, and reliable networking infrastructure that supports our global operations.

Youll contribute to engineering efforts, perform hands-on implementation, and drive process improvements in a hybrid work environment.</p><br/><p><b>Technical Requirements :</b></p><br/><p>- Experience: Minimum 7 years in networking domain.</p><br/><p>Certifications (Mandatory) :<br/><br/></p><p>- CCNA<br/><br/></p><p>- CCNP</p><br/><p>Hands-on expertise in :<br/><br/></p><p>- Networking devices (Routers, Firewalls, Switches)<br/><br/></p><p>- Python scripting for automation</p><br/><p>- Preferred Industry Background: Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or similar network-focused companies.</p><br/><p>- Must be capable of troubleshooting and administering network infrastructure.</p><br/><p><b>Soft Skills:</b></p><br/><p>- Strong communication and collaboration skills are crucial.</p><br/><p>- Regular interaction with cross-functional and partner teams is expected.</p><br/><p>- Proactive in taking ownership and working in a fast-paced environment.</p><br/><p><b>Work Conditions:</b></p><br/><p>- Must be comfortable with shift timings (support model).</p><br/><p>- Hybrid model (3 days onsite: TueThu); some weeks may require full onsite presence.</p><br/><p><b>Interview Process:</b></p><br/><p>- Total 2 rounds of interviews.</p><br/><p>- Emphasis on both technical and communication skills.</p><br/><p><b>Joining Flexibility:</b></p><br/><p>- Open to immediate joiners, 15-day notice, and up to 1-month notice period candidates.</p><br/><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><br/><p>- Execute end-to-end project tasks independently and contribute to network infrastructure design and implementation.</p><br/><p>- Support and drive prioritized project work with minimal guidance, ensuring timely execution of objectives.</p><br/><p>- Evaluate current inefficiencies and propose improvements to existing network systems, software, and processes.</p><br/><p>- Participate in on-call and ticket rotations to support ongoing operations and incident resolution.</p><br/><p>- Perform root cause analysis and draft actionable postmortems following network incidents.</p><br/><p>- Develop automation tools to improve network efficiency and reliability.</p><br/><p>- Resolve network and system-related hardware and software issues in partnership with engineering and vendors.</p><br/><p>- Contribute to capacity planning, performance monitoring, and traffic engineering.</p><br/><p>- Maintain documentation, follow operational best practices, and engage in knowledge sharing across teams.</p><br/><p><b>Core Networking Competencies :</b></p><br/><p>- Networks: Strong understanding of hardware, routing/switching, cabling, protocols, and operations.</p><br/><p>- Network Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues.</p><br/><p>- Network Design: Design scalable and resilient architectures with performance and future growth in mind.</p><br/><p>- Network Service Quality & Traffic Engineering: Monitor performance and implement traffic optimization strategies.</p><br/><p>- Optical Networking: Familiarity with client optics, metro/long-haul technologies, and submarine transport systems.</p><br/><p>- Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) understanding.</p><br/><p><b>Software & Automation Skills :</b></p><br/><p>- Automation & Scripting: Use tools and code to automate tasks and optimize workflows.</p><br/><p>- Software Development: Working knowledge of programming concepts and writing structured, readable code.</p><br/><p>- System and Gateway Protocols: Understanding of IS-IS, IGP, and backbone network protocols.</p><br/><p><b>Operational Excellence :</b></p><br/><p>- Ability to identify and update operational requirements in collaboration with developers and architects.</p><br/><p>- Support on-call operations, especially across multi-vendor and SDN-based networks.</p><br/><p>- Perform quantitative analysis and capacity forecasting.</p><br/><p><b>Preferred Qualifications :</b></p><br/><p>- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.</p><br/><p>- 7+ years of relevant experience in enterprise or carrier-grade network environments.</p><br/><p>- Experience with SDN, OpenFlow-based architectures, and network automation tools.</p><br/><p>- Familiarity with Linux environments and network configuration management tools.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
