<p><p><b>Position Overview :</b><br/><br/>We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Network Monitoring Support Engineer to join our IT Operations team.
This is a Level 1 monitoring and support role with exposure to foundational troubleshooting tasks across a broad network infrastructure environment.
While not a full engineering position, it offers the opportunity to work closely with core technologies and grow into deeper technical roles over time.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Provide Level 1 monitoring and basic troubleshooting support for network infrastructure.<br/><br/></p><p>- Monitor and respond to alerts generated by SolarWinds and other monitoring tools.<br/><br/></p><p>- Log, track, and update issues using ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.).<br/><br/></p><p>- Perform initial diagnosis and escalate issues to Level 2/3 teams as required.<br/><br/></p><p>- Maintain documentation related to incidents, system alerts, and routine maintenance tasks.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with network and server teams to ensure quick resolution of incidents.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work in a 24/5 rotational shift environment for proactive network support.<br/><br/></p><p>- Assist in maintaining network uptime, performance, and issue resolution Qualifications & Experience:</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Minimum 4 years of experience in a network support or infrastructure monitoring environment<br/> OR</p><br/></p><p>- A Technical Diploma/Degree in Information Technology with 3+ years of experience in proactive network support.<br/><br/></p><p>- CCNA certification is mandatory.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience with SolarWinds or similar monitoring tools (minimum 2 years).<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, BMC understanding of :</b></p><p><br/></p>- TCP/IP, LAN/WAN technologies<br/><br/></p><p>- Cisco routing and switching<br/><br/></p><p>- Fundamental troubleshooting principles<br/><br/></p><p>- Microsoft Application Suite troubleshooting<br/><br/></p><p>- ITIL concepts and practices<br/><br/></p><p>- Basic server administration skills<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with Python scripting is a plus.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in high-availability Requirements :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Must be willing to work in 24/5 rotational shifts.</p><br/><b>Preferred Attributes :</b><br/><br/>- Strong problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.<br/><br/></p><p>- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.<br/><br/></p><p>- Desire to build a long-term career in IT infrastructure and operations.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
