Job Summary
As a Principal OCI Solution Architect, you will lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-grade integration and database solutions, with a primary focus on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Database (PL/SQL).
You will design scalable, secure, and high-performing architectures that seamlessly connect cloud and on-premises systems, leveraging API-led, SOA, and event-driven integrations.
This role requires deep technical expertise in PL/SQL development, database performance optimization, and Oracle Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes.
You will act as a technical leader, driving best practices in integration and database architecture within a hybrid cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Architecture & Design: Define and implement end-to-end integration and database architectures using OCI, and Oracle Database for both cloud and on-premises applications.
Database Excellence: Design, develop, and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, and workflows to support high-performance data processing and complex business logic.
Performance & Tuning: Conduct proactive database performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning to ensure system scalability and reliability.
SCM Enablement: Collaborate with functional teams to design and implement integration solutions for Oracle SCM modules, ensuring data consistency and business alignment.
Security & Compliance: Apply best practices for database and integration security, authentication, and encryption in compliance with enterprise standards.
Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and database issues across OCI, OIC, and on-prem environments.
Technical Leadership: Provide mentoring and technical direction to developers and integration teams, fostering a culture of architectural excellence.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for automation, efficiency, and innovation in integration and database processes.
Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed architectural diagrams, technical documentation, and design standards.
Qualifications & Skills Mandatory:
Strong hands-on expertise with Oracle Database (DBA), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and PL/SQL, including developing optimized queries, stored procedures, triggers, and performance-tuned database code.
Deep understanding of RESTful and SOAP-based web services, including design, implementation, and governance.
Familiarity with SaaS and on-premises enterprise applications and their integration architectures.
Strong grasp of integration design patterns, error handling, and security best practices (authentication, authorization, and encryption).
Advanced analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills across integration and database layers.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.
Good-to-Have:
Knowledge of Oracle Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes, data flows, and related integrations.
Knowledge of OIC or other integrations
Experience with Oracle ERP Cloud or other large-scale enterprise applications.
Exposure to VBCS for custom extensions and API management tools (., Oracle API Gateway, Apigee).
Certification(s) in OCI, OIC, or Oracle Database Administration will be an advantage.
