Job Title: Oracle Database Administrator (Mid-Level (2-4 years) & Senior (10+ years)
Work location: Bangalore & Chennai

Job Summary:
We are looking for talented
Oracle Database Administrators
across experience levels (3–4 years and 10+ years) to manage, optimize, and support enterprise-grade Oracle database environments.
You will be responsible for database installations, upgrades, performance tuning, patching, replication, security, migrations, and providing production support.
You will work collaboratively with infrastructure, security, and application teams, ensuring database systems are secure, high-performing, and scalable.
Senior candidates will also serve as technical leads and subject matter experts on strategic projects.
Key Responsibilities (All Levels):
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle databases (12c, 19c).
Perform database performance monitoring and tuning.
Manage database backup and recovery using
RMAN .
Apply Oracle patchsets and security updates as per
InfoSec policies .
Support
CDB/PDB architecture ,
Oracle RAC , and
DataGuard
environments.
Assist or lead
Oracle to PostgreSQL
and
Oracle to AWS Aurora
migrations.
Migrate databases from legacy hardware to
Oracle Exadata .
Implement
database encryption, compression , and
resource management plans .
Create and manage
database replication
(on-prem and cloud), including
Oracle GoldenGate .
Develop and optimize
SQL, PL/SQL , packages, stored procedures, and triggers.
Work with application teams on deployments and release activities.
Conduct disaster recovery testing and ensure database availability and accessibility.
Monitor systems using
Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM/Grid Control) .
Provide
24x7 production support
on a rotational basis.
Experience-Based Differentiation:
For 3–4 Years Experience (Mid-Level):
Hands-on experience with
Oracle 12c/19c
installations and patching.
Solid understanding of
SQL, PL/SQL , and basic performance tuning.
Working knowledge of
RMAN ,
DataGuard , and
OEM .
Exposure to
PostgreSQL ,
AWS Aurora , and
DynamoDB
is a plus.
Familiar with scripting (e.g.,
Shell, Bash, Python ).
Understands core concepts of
RAC ,
CDB/PDB , and
replication .
Works under guidance; supports deployments and assists in migrations.
For 10+ Years Experience (Senior-Level):
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) mandatory.
Deep expertise in
RAC ,
DataGuard ,
Exadata ,
GoldenGate ,
Grid Control .
Leads migrations to PostgreSQL, AWS Aurora; expert in
cross-platform/database migrations .
Designs and implements advanced
partitioning ,
index strategies , and
physical database architectures .
Drives implementation of
security ,
performance , and
resource governance .
Acts as a
technical lead
and mentor to junior DBAs.
Engages in
high-level incident resolution , capacity planning, and DR strategies.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams and influences technology decisions.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in
Oracle Database Administration
(12c, 19c).
Strong
SQL, PL/SQL
skills including stored procedures and packages.
Familiarity with
CDB/PDB ,
RAC ,
DataGuard ,
Exadata ,
GoldenGate ,
Grid Control .
Scripting in
Shell, Bash, or Python .
Exposure to or experience with
AWS (Aurora) ,
PostgreSQL ,
DynamoDB .
Understanding of
database encryption, compression , partitioning, and performance tuning.
Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Strong team collaboration and communication abilities.
Willingness to provide
24x7 on-call support
in a rotation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science , Information Systems, or a related field.
Oracle Certified Associate (OCA)
for mid-level;
Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
for senior-level.
Experience in
cloud migration projects
and
hybrid data environments .
Knowledge of
NoSQL technologies
(e.g., DynamoDB) is a bonus.
