Title/Designation :</b> Dpty/Asst Manager - Oracle Database Administration<br/><br/><b>Employment Type :</b> Full Time, Permanent<br/><br/><b>Job Description:</b><br/><br/><b>Skill, Knowledge & Trainings :</b> Knowledge<br/><br/>The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:<br/><br/>- Should have worked on Unix, Linux O/S Skills<br/><br/>The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills :<br/><br/>- Familiarity with various Oracle database specific technologies, tools and utilities.<br/><br/>- A good knowledge of the physical database design.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios.<br/><br/>- A good knowledge of Oracle security management.<br/><br/>- Ability to analyze, assess and evaluate technologies / tools related to DB.<br/><br/>- Ability to understand and troubleshoot the problem quickly.<br/><br/>- Good documentation skills.<br/><br/><b>Training :</b><br/><br/>The incumbent must have undergone these trainings in his/her previous job OCP / OCA (DBA track) certification in Oracle 10g / 11g /19c<br/><br/><b>Core Competencies :</b><br/><br/>Must have good knowledge of oracle database architecture with job experience of Database Administrator with following hands on experience:<br/><br/>- Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products<br/><br/>- Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products.<br/><br/>- Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.<br/><br/>- Take care of the Database design and implementation.<br/><br/>- Implement and maintain database security (create, update and maintain users and roles, assign privileges).<br/><br/>- Perform database tuning and performance monitoring<br/><br/>- Provision of support and assistance to development team in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications<br/><br/>- Required to deal with complex data models and object relational database mapping, while producing complex reports.<br/><br/>- Writing ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge for various reporting requirements.<br/><br/>- Designing database packages and procedures.<br/><br/>- Provide a strategic database direction for the organization.<br/><br/><b>Functional Competencies :</b><br/><br/>Requires knowledge and experience in Banking and financial domain.<br/><br/><b>Job Purpose :</b><br/><br/>Responsible for Designing/ supporting / administration / management the Oracle databases in and ensuring their performance, availability and security<br/><br/><b>Area of Operations :</b><br/><br/>- Production database support to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by our business systems.<br/><br/>- Administration with PL/SQL work.<br/><br/>- Design, development and administration of Oracle databases.<br/><br/>- Performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of Oracle databases.<br/><br/>- Management and maintenance of back-ups & recovery procedures.<br/><br/>- Installation and maintenance of database server, replication and client environments.<br/><br/>- Reviewing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL code.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibility :</b><br/><br/>- Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products<br/><br/>- Evaluate Oracle features and Oracle related products.<br/><br/>- Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures.<br/><br/>- Take care of the Database design and environments.<br/><br/>- Writing ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge for various reporting requirements.<br/><br/>- Required to deal with complex data models and object relational database mapping, while producing complex reports.<br/><br/>- Manage physical/logical standby database.<br/><br/>- Setup and maintain documentation and standards.<br/><br/>- Provide a strategic database direction for the organization.<br/><br/>- Plan growth and changes (capacity planning)<br/><br/>- Work as part of a team and provide support when required.<br/><br/>- Perform general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to development / support teams.<br/><br/>- Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.<br/><br/>- Maintain 100% uptime.<br/><br/><b>Any Other Requirement :</b><br/><br/><b>Working Conditions :</b><br/><br/>The unavoidable, externally imposed conditions under which the work must be performed and which create hardship for the incumbent including the frequency and duration of occurrence of physical demands, environmental conditions, demands on ones senses and metal demands.<br/><br/>- late hours/shift duty/staggered shift/outside office working/visiting customers/clients)Working hours will be as per normal DBA work hours of however there candidate must be prepared to adjust to demands of the work
