Lead Oracle DBA – OSS/BSS Transformation Program

We are seeking a Lead Oracle DBA to drive the database migration, upgrade, and DR implementation for a large-scale OSS/BSS Transformation Program.
This includes transitioning Oracle Communications applications (Siebel, BRM, UIM, etc.) from VMware to OLVM, upgrading Oracle DBs to 19c/23ai, and establishing a highly available DR setup using Data Guard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Oracle database migrations from VMware-based to OLVM-based environments.
- Design and implement Oracle Data Guard (physical standby) for DR and failover.
- Perform schema upgrades for Oracle Communications Suite (Siebel 24.X, BRM 12.X, UIM).
- Optimize SQL queries, indexing, and database performance for transformed application stacks.
- Implement and maintain RMAN backup strategies, validation, and monitoring.
- Conduct AWR, ASH, and SQL tuning analysis to ensure post-upgrade performance.
- Define database standards and best practices across DEV → UAT → PROD environments.
- Collaborate with app teams, infrastructure, and project management on integration planning.
- Mentor mid-level DBAs and guide database change management activities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Oracle Database Administration (12c → 19c/23ai).
- Proven experience with Oracle Data Guard, both configuration and operational management.
- Strong knowledge of RMAN, recovery scenarios, and backup validation.
- SQL performance tuning using AWR, ASH, Explain Plans.
- Hands-on experience with Siebel, BRM, and/or UIM database schemas.
- Understanding of database dependencies in OSS/BSS systems.
- Experience with migration planning and cutover execution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
