Teamware Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our critical Oracle database environments.
You'll ensure the high availability, performance, and security of our databases, playing a crucial role in supporting our applications and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle databases (12c, 19c, etc.) across various platforms.
- Perform routine database administration tasks including backup and recovery (RMAN), performance tuning, and capacity planning.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement proactive solutions to ensure optimal operation.
- Manage database security, user access, and implement auditing measures in compliance with policies.
- Configure and maintain Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC), Data Guard, and other high-availability solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Plan and execute database migrations and upgrades with minimal business disruption.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries, schemas, and application performance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
Skills Required:
- Expert-level proficiency in Oracle Database administration (12c, 19c, etc.).
- Strong experience with Oracle database backup and recovery using RMAN.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC and Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for scripting and database management.
- Experience with database security best practices and implementation.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems for Oracle database management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Master (OCM) certification.
- Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Knowledge of cloud database services (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS RDS, Azure Database for Oracle).
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Shell or Python for automation.
