Role Overview:
The Oracle HCM EBS Techno-Functional Consultant is responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Human Capital Management (HCM) modules.
This hybrid role requires both technical and functional expertise to align Oracle systems with business HR processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional Duties:
- Analyse and gather business requirements for Oracle HCM modules (HR Core, Payroll, Self-Service, Absence Management).
- Map business processes to Oracle HCM functionality and identify gaps.
- Design and implement Fast Formulas for Payroll, Absence Management.
- Configure Oracle HCM modules and document application setups.
- Write business requirement documents for reports, interfaces, data conversions, and extensions.
- Define testing scenarios, develop test scripts, and support execution.
- Develop end-user documentation and deliver training sessions.
Technical Duties:
- Customize and enhance Oracle EBS HCM modules using PL/SQL, Oracle Forms/Reports, and Oracle Workflow.
- Perform OAF Customizations including personalization, extension, and development of custom pages.
- Configure and support Oracle HCM setups and workflows
- Design and develop applications using Oracle APEX for reporting, dashboards, and custom HR workflows.
- Lead Data Migration activities including data mapping, cleansing, validation, and loading using tools like SQL Loader, APIs, and custom scripts.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and system processes.
- Perform system audits, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity and security.
- Support system upgrades, patch applications, and integration testing.
- Collaborate with IT and HR teams to ensure seamless system functionality.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Oracle EBS HCM modules (HRMS, Payroll, SSHR, Absence Management).
- Hands-on experience with OAF Customization and Oracle JDeveloper.
- Strong PL/SQL, XML Publisher, Oracle Workflow, and personalization techniques.
- Expertise in Fast Formula development and debugging.
- Proficiency in Oracle APEX development for custom applications and reporting.
- Solid experience in Data Migration techniques and tools (SQL Loaders, API, HDL).
- Understanding of HR business processes and ability to translate them into Oracle solutions.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in Oracle HCM EBS implementations and support.
- Experience with Civil Services Policies and Procedures (for roles in KSA, UAE or similar regions).
- Oracle certifications in HRMS/HCM are a plus.
