<p><p><b>About the job :<br/></b><br/><b>Meet Our Team :<br/></b><br/>Pegas Applications Team is seeking a highly motivated Senior Application Engineer to help us set a new vision for world-class release engineering solutions.<br/><br/>This position will be responsible for release engineering activities widely ranging from collaborations, coordination, planning, and execution enabling the quality releases for our customers.<br/><br/>Picture Yourself At Pega .
The Engineer is responsible for working with various Application product teams.
And plays a key role in each product release.<br/><br/>Executing the release plan, scheduling meetings, and keeping stakeholders updated with release status, status from time to time.<br/><br/><b>What You'll Do At Pega :</b><br/><br/>- Deep knowledge of CI (Continuous Integration) and CD (Continuous Deployment) methodologies with Jenkins.<br/><br/>- Experience with automation and processes to enable teams to deploy, manage, configure, scale, and monitor their applications.<br/><br/>- Tool administration experience in any of the following along with good scripting knowledge like Shell, Python, Groovy<br/><br/>- Configuration management tools like SVN, TFS, GIT, etc.<br/><br/>- Build tools like GITHub Actions, Jenkins, Hudson, and Bamboo and build scripts like ANT, Gradle, Maven<br/><br/>- Create/maintain GitHub or bitbucket or any other repositories<br/><br/>- Strong experience with Git, GitHub Enterprise, and GitHub Actions.<br/><br/>- Working knowledge on converting and optimizing Jenkins pipelines into GitHub Actions workflows is a plus.<br/><br/>- Build tools for internal use to support software engineering best practices.<br/><br/>- Coordinating with various Product Teams<br/><br/>- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Groovy).<br/><br/>- Understand the current application infrastructure and suggest any changes/enhancements<br/><br/>- Good knowledge of VPC, CloudFormation, etc.<br/><br/>- Usage of EC2, Security Groups, and various AWS services<br/><br/>- Good to have knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.<br/><br/>- Having used ECS or EKS, or whichever technologies you are looking to use in the past is a plus.<br/><br/>- Exposure to different cloud providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure<br/><br/><b>Who You Are :</b><br/><br/>You will be the go-to member for product teams for any information related to releases, builds, Cloud Provisioning, Cloud Administration, Monitoring, DevOps, or any other Cloud queries.<br/><br/>You will also organize and present a range of release processes to a variety of audiences.<br/><br/><b>What You've Accomplished :</b><br/><br/>- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience<br/><br/>- 4- 6 years of relevant experience<br/><br/>- Working Knowledge with SCM tools, AWS<br/><br/>- Familiarity with Release/SDLC process<br/><br/>- Eagerness to learn new things<br/><br/>- Collaboration with more than 2(or)3 teams for a release/deliverable<br/><br/>- Demonstrable technical writing and editing skills; ability to explain complex concepts and processes clearly and effectively<br/><br/><b>Pega Offers You :</b><br/><br/>- Gartner Analyst acclaimed technology leadership across our categories of products<br/><br/>- Continuous learning and development opportunities<br/><br/>- An innovative, inclusive, agile, flexible, and fun work environment<br/><br/>- Competitive global benefits program inclusive of pay and bonus incentive, employee equity in the company</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
