<p>Perforce is searching for a Sr. DevOps Manager who is responsible for leading multiple teams of DevOps engineers and overseeing the implementation and management of the DevOps practices within the organization.
</p><p><br/></p><p>They are responsible for developing and executing the DevOps strategy, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, and fostering collaboration between development and operations teams.<br/><br/><b>Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Develop and execute the overall DevOps strategy, aligning it with the organization's goals and objectives.<br/><br/></p><p>- Lead and manage a team of DevOps engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with software development, system administration, and quality assurance teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.<br/><br/></p><p>- Plan, implement, and manage DevOps tools and technologies, including continuous integration/delivery, automated testing, and infrastructure management.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strategic vision development for DevOps teams of multiple products, along with guiding and optimizing the organization's DevOps practices<br/><br/></p><p>- Establish and enforce best practices and standards across development and operations teams.<br/><br/></p><p>- Drive automation initiatives to minimize manual efforts and improve productivity.<br/><br/></p><p>- Identify and mitigate risks and issues related to software delivery and infrastructure maintenance.<br/><br/></p><p>- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to DevOps and suggest relevant improvements to the organization.<br/><br/></p><p>- Lead platform development initiatives with a focus on solving critical business challenges<br/><br/></p><p>- Foster collaboration and communication between development and operations teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.<br/><br/><b>Requirements :</b><br/><br/>- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
An advanced degree is preferred.<br/><br/></p><p>- 15+ years of industry experience in Cloud Operations or Software development with at least 7 years in a managerial role.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven track record in managing larger teams and complex projects.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, methodologies, and best practices.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with cloud platforms (e.
g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.
g., Docker, Kubernetes).<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in observability tools such as ElasticSearch / Splunk, Grafana, and NewRelic.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.<br/><br/></p><p>- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Have prior experience in managing a global team from different regions & different cultures.<br/><br/></p><p>- Has vital Emotional Intelligence management skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams, spread across the globe, and departments</p> (ref:hirist.tech)
