<p><p><b>Description :</b><br/><br/><b>Overview :</b><br/><br/>We are seeking a talented and experienced PHP Developer to join our dynamic software development team.
This role is essential for designing, developing, and maintaining the back-end logic of our high-traffic web applications.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Core PHP, experience with popular frameworks, and a commitment to writing clean, scalable code.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following :<br/><br/><b>Development & Maintenance :</b><br/><br/>- Develop, test, and maintain robust web applications using PHP, including both Core PHP and relevant PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).<br/><br/>- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain existing codebases for optimal performance, security, and stability.<br/><br/><b>Database Management :</b><br/><br/>- Work extensively with relational databases (MySQL/SQL) to design database schemas, write efficient queries, and optimize existing queries for scale and speed.<br/><br/><b>Collaboration & Integration :</b><br/><br/>- Collaborate closely with front-end developers to seamlessly integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, ensuring a smooth and responsive user experience.<br/><br/><b>Code Quality & Best Practices :</b><br/><br/>- Write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code following established coding standards, security guidelines, and architectural best practices.<br/><br/>- Actively participate in code reviews to ensure quality and knowledge sharing across the team.<br/><br/><b>Software Development Lifecycle :</b><br/><br/>- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.<br/><br/><b>Continuous Improvement :</b><br/><br/>- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in the PHP ecosystem, web development, and database technology.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Programming : Strong demonstrable experience with PHP (Core and Frameworks).<br/><br/>- Database : Expertise in MySQL/SQL and database design/optimization.<br/><br/>- Web Technologies : Solid understanding of related web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX).<br/><br/>- Frameworks : Proven experience with at least one major PHP framework (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter, Yii).<br/><br/>- Version Control : Proficiency with Git or other modern version control systems.<br/><br/>- Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.<br/><br/>- Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).<br/><br/><b>Preferred (Bonus) Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).<br/><br/>- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of RESTful API design and consumption.<br/><br/>- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
