Our Team:

The Engineering team at Whatfix provides end to end engineering throughput that forms part of core platforms and services that drive Whatfix business.

Our team is responsible for creating the Customer Platform and everything around it be it Analytics, Infrastructure or Core Algorithms.

The team owns and is responsible for all pieces that we design, build and support end to end for Whatfix product/ business.

Your Responsibility:

• Define architecture blueprints & take complete technical ownership of high-level design, tech stack - from backend systems to frontend aspects & non-functional attributes
• Design, build & deploy cutting edge solutions at scale, impacting millions of customers worldwide
• Own the scalability, performance, and performance metrics of complex distributed systems.
• Own the technology roadmap and vision of the team.
• Work with engineering teams in building high-quality and highly resilient scalable products and platforms at Whatfix
• Work with cross-functional teams to address all technical dependencies
• Drive some of the company-wide tech initiatives striving towards continuous technical excellence of our platforms
• Actively participate in technical innovations, external presentations, technical publications etc.
• Identify right open source tools to deliver product features by performing research, POC/Pilot and/or interacting with various open-source forums

Requirement:

• 6+ years of proven industry experience building large scale distributed systems
• Exposure to a wide variety of problem spaces, technologies, and multi-tier architectures.
• Very strong system design and OO skills with the ability to craft clean interfaces and operate at the right levels of abstraction
• Experience in complete product development cycle;
  building new systems from requirements to re-arch of existing systems
• A self-motivated learner and builder with strong customer focus and obsession with quality
• Experience in architecting and designing technical solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure / AWS / GCP IaaS, PaaS and SaaS capabilities.
• Knowledge of cloud security controls including conditional access policies, tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.
• Experience building and supporting mission-critical technology components with DR capabilities
• Experience with multi-tier system and service design and development for large enterprises
• Extensive, real-world experience designing technology components for enterprise solutions with a focus on cloud technologies
• Be a strong technical mentor to junior members of the team

Must-Have:

• Strong experience in Core Java (or similar OOP technologies), REST Protocol
• Hands-on expertise in Architecting and maintaining large scale web applications
• Design expertise for observability, performance, scalability, fault tolerance and high availability
• Experience with open source Infrastructure components such as ElasticSearch, Kafka etc.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Argocd (or Flux), Jenkins
• Experience in Bash Commands
• Experience with Kubernetes commands
• Experience in Cloud Hosting (AWS / Azure / GCP)

Good to have:

• Exposure / Experience in Client-side technologies to front end stack like JavaScript & Angular / React
• Experience with open source Infrastructure components such as Cassandra, Hadoop,etc.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible,
