<p><p><b>Job Title :</b> Platform Engineer (Full-Stack MERN & AWS Focus)<br/><br/><b>Department :</b> Engineering<br/><br/><b>Reports To :</b> Head of Engineering<br/><br/><b>Summary :</b><br/><br/>We're seeking a skilled Platform Engineer with a passion for building and optimizing scalable web platforms as well as experience supporting AI/ML development.
You'll have a strong foundation in full-stack MERN development (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js), Python for AI/ML workflows, and a deep understanding of AWS services to provide a robust and performant platform for our products.<br/><br/><b>Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/><b>Full-Stack Platform Development :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Design, develop, and maintain core platform components and APIs using the MERN stack.<br/><br/></p><p>- Build user-friendly interfaces and web applications with a focus on usability, performance, and scalability.<br/><br/></p><p>- Optimize database queries with MongoDB for efficient data management.<br/><br/></p><p>- Integrate front-end components (React) seamlessly with back-end services (Express/Node.js).<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement robust testing and deployment strategies to ensure quality code releases.<br/><br/><b>AI/ML Support on AWS :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to design data pipelines and infrastructure for AI/ML workloads.<br/><br/></p><p>- Provision and configure AWS services (EC2, S3, SageMaker, etc.) optimized for AI/ML model training and deployment.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop and maintain scalable Python environments for machine learning development and execution.<br/><br/></p><p>- Troubleshoot and optimize AI/ML workflows on AWS for performance and cost-efficiency.<br/><br/><b>AWS Cloud Architecture & Services :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Design and implement secure and scalable cloud infrastructure using AWS services (Lambda, S3, ECS, API Gateway, SQS, SNS).<br/><br/></p><p>- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using tools like CloudFormation or CDK.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement serverless architectures, leveraging Lambda functions for flexible and cost-effective solutions.<br/><br/><b>Qualifications :</b><br/><br/><b>Required </b><b>:</b></p><p><b><br/></b></p><p>- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent experience.<br/><br/></p><p>- 3+ years of hands-on experience with full-stack development using the MERN stack.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with data analysis/ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy).<br/><br/></p><p>- In-depth knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, etc.) and cloud architecture principles.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus).<br/><br/><b>Preferred :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CDK or CloudFormation.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines, preferably on AWS.<br/><br/><b>Key Skills :</b><br/><br/>- <b>Problem-solving :</b> Excellent analytical skills for tackling complex architectural and development challenges.<br/><br/></p><p>- <b>Communication :</b> Clearly articulate technical concepts to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.<br/><br/></p><p>- <b>Collaboration :</b> Work effectively with development teams, data scientists, and other stakeholders.<br/><br/></p><p>- <b>Adaptability :</b> Embrace change and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.<br/><br/></p><p>- <b>Passion for Technology :</b> Strong desire to stay up-to-date on emerging cloud technologies, development frameworks, and AI/ML trends</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
