Platform Engineer – Python / Databricks / Notebooks/ Kubernetes Job Description  
Syntasa is seeking a high-caliber and dedicated  Platform Engineer  to join its India subsidiary,  Syntasa Technologies India Private Limited .
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of a world-class development and support center.
The India operations will serve as an extension of Syntasa’s US-based software development and support functions.
 
Key Responsibilities - Design and develop and maintain  scalable data pipelines  and platform services using  Python ,  Apache Spark , and  Databricks .
 
 
- Develop and manage  notebook-based workflows  (Jupyter, Databricks, etc.) for data processing, analysis, and automation.
 
 
- Build and optimize  data integration workflows  and reusable components for ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.
 
 
- Deploy and manage workloads on  Kubernetes , ensuring scalability and reliability.
 
 
- Implement and maintain  cloud-native solutions  on  AWS, GCP, or Azure .
 
 
- Collaborate with  data science, application, and platform teams  to deliver efficient and robust data services.
 
 
- Drive  automation, observability, and CI/CD  improvements across the platform  
Skills & ExperienceMust-Have:  
- Strong experience in  Python  for data engineering, scripting, and automation.
 
 
- Solid understanding of  Apache Spark  and distributed data processing.
 
 
- Experience working with  notebooks  (Jupyter, Zeppelin, or Databricks).
 
 
- Hands-on experience with  Kubernetes  for container orchestration, workload deployments and scaling.
 
 
Nice to Have:  
- Familiarity with  DevOps practices ,  CI/CD pipelines , and  cloud environments  (AWS, GCP, Azure).
 
 
- Experience with  Kafka ,  real-time streaming ,   Java/Spring Boot .
 
 
- Knowledge of  RDBMS (PostgreSQL)  and  NoSQL  databases.
 
 
- Knowledge of BigData services like BigQuery, BigTable, Hive   
Requirements- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in  Computer Science, Engineering , or a related field.
 
 
- 4+ years  of progressive experience as a  Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or Platform Engineer .
 
 
- Strong  problem-solving ,  collaboration , and  communication  skills.
 
 
- Ability to thrive in a  fast-paced, distributed engineering environment .
