<p><p><b>Job Description : </b><br/><br/>Seeking a Power BI Developer with strong expertise in database technologies to design, develop, and implement business intelligence solutions.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced Power BI skills along with hands-on experience in database design, development, and optimization.
This role involves working with large datasets, ensuring data integrity, and creating impactful dashboards and reports to support business : </b><br/><br/>Power BI Expertise : <br/><br/></p><p>- Proficient in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Mobile.<br/><br/></p><p>- Advanced knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M Language).<br/><br/></p><p>- Expertise in creating custom visuals, slicers, and drill-through reports.<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of ETL tools and processes.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms like Azure Data Factory or AWS.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to work with APIs and other third-party tools for data integration.<br/><br/>Database Knowledge : <br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema).<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with indexing, query tuning, and database optimization techniques.<br/><br/></p><p>ETL and Data Integration :</p><p> <br/>- Experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Informatics).<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP for data storage and processing.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to work with APIs, JSON, and flat files for data extraction.<br/><br/>Other Tools & Technologies : <br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of Azure Synapse Analytics, Data bricks, or other big data platforms.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis (optional but preferred).<br/><br/></p><p>- Advanced Excel skills, including VBA (preferred).<br/><br/><b>Qualifications : </b><br/><br/>- Bachelors degree in computer science / related engineering field OR equivalent experience in a related field<br/><br/></p><p>- 5+ years of software development experience<br/><br/></p><p>- 3+ years experience developing reports in SSIS, SSRS, SSAS and Power BI<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with building data pipelines<br/><br/></p><p>- Possess the ability to understand business processes and design reports.<br/><br/></p><p>- Good written, verbal communication skills<br/><br/></p><p>- Great team player</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
