are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Developer to design, develop, and deliver impactful BI solutions that empower our Business Lending teams across Risk, Product, Operations, and Relationship Management.
The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Power BI and SQL with a deep understanding of data modelling, performance optimisation, and business processes in financial Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualisations to support strategic and operational Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and translate requirements into effective BI solutions and data models.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Develop optimised data models using DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL to ensure scalability and performance.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Integrate and manage data from multiple systems, including loan origination, credit risk, customer data platforms, and core banking systems.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Ensure all BI deliverables align with data governance, security, and compliance standards.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Partner with data engineers to maintain data quality and efficient data pipelines.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Enable self-service BI capabilities and provide best-practice guidance to business users.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise Power BI reports and data refresh performance.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Stay abreast of the latest Power BI and BI analytics trends, recommending tools and methods to enhance analytical 3+ years of proven experience as a Power BI Developer, preferably in Banking or Financial Services.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Strong proficiency with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query (M language).</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Expertise in SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, or Teradata.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Experience in data modelling, ETL processes, and integrating large, complex datasets.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Solid understanding of business lending products and lifecycle (origination, credit assessment, servicing, collections).</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Strong grasp of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks within banking environments.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills with attention to detail.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Experience working in agile delivery environments.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with Azure data stack (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks).</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of risk and regulatory reporting in the lending domain.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Exposure to visual analytics design principles and data storytelling techniques.</p><br/><p><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with Python or R for advanced analytics and automation.</p><br/><p></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
