<p>Location : Remote<br/><br/>Duration of Project : 3+ months<br/><br/><b>About the Role :</b><br/><br/>We are seeking a dedicated Power BI Developer with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join our team for a remote contract of 3+ months.
This role requires strong technical proficiency in developing high-impact visualizations, advanced data models, and complex calculations using Power BI.
The successful candidate must possess expertise in DAX and Power Query and be fluent in English to facilitate effective collaboration with international :</b><br/><br/>- Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and publish high-quality, interactive, and visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports that translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.<br/><br/>- DAX and Calculations: Write and optimize advanced DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas and measures, implementing complex calculations, time-intelligence, and filtering logic to meet precise analytical requirements.<br/><br/>- Data Modeling: Apply strong knowledge of data modeling techniques within Power BI Desktop, ensuring optimized data schema design, managing relationships, and establishing data integrity for optimal report performance.<br/><br/>- Data Transformation (Power Query): Utilize Power Query (M language) to effectively connect to diverse data sources, perform robust data cleaning, transformation, and shaping processes before loading into the model.<br/><br/>- Data Source Connectivity: Connect Power BI solutions to enterprise-level data warehousing platforms, demonstrating specific experience working with Snowflake and/or SAP HANA as primary data sources.<br/><br/>- Report Performance: Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks within Power BI reports, data models, and underlying DAX queries to ensure rapid load times and high user satisfaction.<br/><br/>- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain fluency in English to effectively gather requirements from business users, present findings to stakeholders, and collaborate with data engineering teams.<br/><br/><b>Required Skill Set (Mandatory Skills) :</b><br/><br/>- Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in Power BI development.<br/><br/>- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.<br/><br/>- DAX and Power Query: Strong knowledge of DAX for complex calculations and deep proficiency with Power Query (M language) for data transformation.<br/><br/>- Data Modeling: Strong experience with Kimball or other data modeling techniques as applied within the Power BI environment.<br/><br/>- Source Connectivity: Hands-on experience connecting Power BI to large-scale data sources, specifically including Snowflake and/or SAP HANA.<br/><br/>- Language: Candidates MUST be fluent in English (written and verbal).<br/><br/><b>Preferred Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Experience with Power BI Service administration, governance, and deployment pipeline management.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with SQL for querying and validating data sources.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of other visualization tools or Python/R for advanced analytics.</p> (ref:hirist.tech)
