<p><p><b>Job Description :</b></p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>The Principal Engineer will be responsible for :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Creation of procedures, implementation of processes and development of staff for managing and maintaining security systems across internal and client environments.<br/><br/>- The Principal Engineer will work closely with Management, Senior Engineers, Solution Architects, Senior Security Engineers, other Principal Security Engineers and clients to complete high profile, critical services to existing Managed Security Service clients.<br/><br/>- Serve as a subject matter expert and team lead for Managed Security Services, staying in tune with all client configuration issues and all internal projects.<br/><br/><b>How Youll Make An Impact :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Configure, deploy, and maintain the Cribl LogStream platform for clients.<br/><br/></p><p>- Design and implement log management solutions to meet client requirements.<br/><br/></p><p>- Provide technical support to clients and internal teams.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop custom plugins and scripts to extend the capabilities of the Cribl platform.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work with clients to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to log management.<br/><br/></p><p>- Provide training and knowledge transfer to clients and internal teams.<br/><br/></p><p>- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in log management and analytics.<br/><br/></p><p>- Find opportunities to expand Cribl use cases for additional teams and functions at the customer.<br/><br/><b>What We're Looking For :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Bachelors and/or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.<br/><br/></p><p>- 8+ years of experience in log management, data processing, or related field.<br/><br/></p><p>- Cribl Engineer with a strong understanding of the Cribl LogStream and Cribl Edge platform (Cribl Certification a plus).<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven experience in configuring, deploying, and maintaining the Cribl LogStream platform.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with log management, data processing, and data analytics.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong scripting and programming skills (e.g. Python, JavaScript, etc.)<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with other tools like Splunk, Elastic, Sentinel a plus.<br/><br/></p><p>- The role demands the availability for US working hours (5PM (IST) to 2AM (IST)).<br/><br/></p><p>- This role is Work From Office role.<br/><br/><b>What You Can Expect From Optiv :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- A company committed to championing Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion through our Employee Resource Groups.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work/life balance.<br/><br/></p><p>- Professional training resources.<br/><br/></p><p>- Creative problem-solving and the ability to tackle unique, complex projects.<br/><br/></p><p>- Volunteer Opportunities.<br/><br/></p><p>- Optiv Chips In encourages employees to volunteer and engage with their teams and communities.<br/><br/></p><p>- The ability and technology necessary to productively work remotely/from home (where applicable).</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
