Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Hardware Design Engineer with experience in designing embedded systems based on microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs, and RF circuits.
The role involves end-to-end hardware development including component selection, power architecture design, schematic creation using EDA tools, multilayer PCB planning, and support for layout and bring-up.
The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with high-speed interfaces (DDR4, PCIe, Ethernet, USB), complex multilayer board designs (up to 18 layers), and a strong understanding of signal integrity and testing methodologies.
Proficiency in tools like OrCAD and Cadstar is essential, and familiarity with RF circuit design is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Active and Passive Components selection
- Power scheme finalization and design
- PCB layer stickup finalization
- Schematics design using EDA tools
- Netlist generation and verification
- PCB placement and board size finalization
- Support for the PCB routing and post layout netlist verification
- Board bring-up along with software team once the PCBs are fabricated
- Testing of the hardware for functionality and performance
Qualifications
- B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of experience in the mentioned areas
- Knowledge of embedded systems hardware design, microprocessors and interfacing
- Experience in design of complex multilayer boards up to 18 layers
- Experience in Interfacing high speed memories like DDR4
- Experience in working on high speed interfaces like Ethernet, PCIe and USB etc.
- Experience in working on RF circuits is added advantage
- Experience in PCB layout and Signal Integrity analysis is added advantage
- Experience in Board bring-up and testing
- Working in OrCAD, Cadstar tools.
