Job Description
We are seeking a Principal/Senior Program Manager, M&A to be the central nervous system connecting the boardroom, the server room, and everything in between.
This is a high-stakes role demanding expertise in both M&A deal mechanics and complex IT program execution.
You will own the translation of deal strategy into a viable technical and operational integration plan.
This isn't a role for someone who prefers to stay in their lane.
You'll orchestrate 3-5 concurrent global M&A initiatives across Due Diligence, Pre-Deal Planning, and Post-Merger Integration (PMI), ensuring financial value creation is never compromised by technical complexity.
Key Responsibilities
- Due Diligence & Synergy Quantification: Lead the technical assessment, determining IT-related risks, technical debt, and synergy opportunities (cost takeout, vendor consolidation) that inform the final valuation and transaction structure.
- Multi-Program Orchestration: Manage the entire M&A lifecycle, coordinating dozens of workstreams across finance, HR, legal, and operations, while driving the critical application systems integration/separation and infrastructure readiness.
- IT Program Leadership: Own the Pre-Deal Assessment and Post-Merger integration plans.
Ensure the integration of core platforms (ERP, CRM, HRIS) and the consolidation of IT Infrastructure, security, cloud/hybrid environments (AWS, Azure) are delivered on time and on budget.
- Stakeholder Diplomacy: Balancing competing priorities from acquiring executives, target company leadership, integration committees, and regulatory bodies.
- Risk Navigation: Identifying interdependencies others miss—like how a data center consolidation impacts tax optimization or how application integration affects employee retention.
Skills Required
- M&A Transaction Experience (Mandatory): 12+ years of progressive experience, with at least 5+ years in a primary M&A role (Corporate Development, M&A Advisory/Consulting) with a dedicated focus on IT, Technology, or IT Services/Staffing sector deals.
- Scale & Scope: Experience managing $20-30M+ deals and steering complex M&A programs across multiple geographies (US, EU, APAC, India).
- Communication & Program Control: The intellectual agility and communication skills to translate technical constraints into business impact and keep complex, million-dollar programs on schedule.
- Technical Acumen: Strong working knowledge of the M&A implications across major ERP, CRM, and HRIS platforms and experience assessing cloud/security posture.
- Leadership & Acumen: The political acumen to navigate competing agendas while maintaining focus on deal value creation.
This role demands a leader who thrives in organized chaos, finds energy in complexity, and has the intellectual agility to switch contexts rapidly without losing sight of the bigger picture.
If you are a proven M&A practitioner who masters the technical and operational side of the deal, send your resume to hr@techharborpartners.com or apply through LinkedIn
