JOB SUMMARY
The Content Developer is responsible for developing updating, editing training content materials before the materials are presented to the business and client for approvals.
The developer must have exceptional writing and editorial skills, be detailed-oriented, self-sufficient and have the ability to review a high volume of content within compressed timelines.
In collaboration with the process owners, this position will be responsible for supporting and maintaining relevance of existing materials across LOBs. This role is responsible for delivering high quality materials and communications for an Operations organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and publish high-quality content in Knowledge and Learning Management tools
- Review team materials to ensure content message drives learning objectives for learner’s success
- Edit learner-focused course material and curriculums focused on skill development
- Experienced in using a variety of resources to create materials (i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Adobe, Video)
- Work closely with subject matter experts to validate messaging and content quality
- Provide estimates on effort required to evaluate each document before publish
- Responsible for maintaining current versioning of documentation
- Maintain relevance of existing learning materials
- Conduct content developer learning sessions
- Develop document templates
- Recommend developer tools to enhance documentation quality
- Engage business and client in documentation changes and approvals
- Solicit feedback from stakeholders, end users and client on content quality improvements
- Frequent review of materials for improvements
- Contribute to ongoing processes improvement and implementation, including version control, knowledge management and communication
- Observe training sessions to gather and implement content improvement feedback
- Maintain monthly content quality reports
- Special projects, as needed

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years content development experience in a fast-paced Contact Center/Learning environment
- Degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Products, Articulate and other development tools to develop materials
- Experienced in working with other content development tools is a plus
- Experienced working with and managing content in a KMS or LMS
- Experience editing documents and presentations
- Preferred: experience developing learning curriculum for technology, call center and/or customer service/sales groups
- Knowledge of the utility industry (gas/electric, telecommunications) a plus
- Familiar with business operations, consumer sales and marketing
