What you'll do As a core member of our product security team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating and maintaining a repository of secure, reusable code components.
You will work within Docusign’s SSDLC frameworks to create resources for integration within Docusign products.
Your work will empower all product teams to build secure applications from the ground up.
You will act as a subject matter expert on secure coding practices, architectures, and build patterns, driving a secure-by-design mindset across the organization.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Director, Product Security.
Responsibility Design, develop, and maintain a centralized repository of secure, reusable code components, and tools for use by development teams Serve as a subject matter expert on secure coding best practices and principles, including following guidelines from frameworks like OWASP, BSIMM, and NIST SSDF Integrate security protocols and controls—such as authentication, authorization, and encryption—directly into libraries to ensure secure-by-design behavior Collaborate with product security engineers and product teams to gather requirements, provide expert consultation, and educate developers on the proper and secure use of shared libraries Review and verify reported vulnerabilities, perform root cause analysis, and partner with developers to drive corrections Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats, trends, and new technologies to continuously improve the security posture of shared code Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and deployment guides for all secure components and their usage Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work.
Access to an office location is required.

What you bring Basic Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure software systems High proficiency in one or more programming languages relevant to the organization (e.g., C#/.NET, Python, Java, JavaScript) and the ability to quickly learn new languages Deep technical understanding of common security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and their mitigations/remediations Experience with development and build pipelines and associate best practices Demonstrated experience in application security within cloud environments (e.g, AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience developing and implementing security APIs and associated tooling against threats, such as unauthorized access and data breaches BS/BA degree or equivalent in relevant coding experience Experience in identifying, iterating, and evolving the security standards of pre-existing environments 5+ years of experience in Product Application Security roles Preferred Experience in penetration testing practices Perform threat modeling and security analysis of library components to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities Experience in secure source code audit/analysis Experience in reverse engineering in foreign code bases Experience in security testing automation to validate supply chain components Ability to operate within and discover the security implications of pre-existing code environments Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
