<p><b>Job Role : </b> Senior/Lead Performance Tester<br/><br/><b>Total Experience : </b>5+ Years<br/><br/><b>Location : </b> Kolkata, Indore, Shillong<br/><br/><b>Education : </b> Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar<br/><br/><b>Role & Responsibilities : </b><br/><br/>- Define performance testing objectives and scope with stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies.<br/><br/>- Create realistic test scripts and scenarios emulating real-world workloads.<br/><br/>- Ensure test environment mimics production.<br/><br/>- Monitor system performance (response time, throughput, error rates, utilization).<br/><br/>- Identify bottlenecks, root causes, and provide improvement recommendations.<br/><br/>- Create detailed reports with metrics, charts, and logs.<br/><br/>- Communicate progress, issues, and results to stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Mentor junior testers, provide training, and share best practices.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams.<br/><br/>- Stay updated with tools, techniques, and best practices.<br/><br/>- Maintain accurate test artifacts (plans, scripts, reports).<br/><br/><b>Must Have : </b><br/><br/>- Experience in creating/executing load test plans, monitoring, analyzing results, and identifying optimization opportunities.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of performance tuning concepts (GC, CPU cycles, memory utilization, context switching).<br/><br/>- Experience with Web/Mobile applications and Web Services (SOAP, REST APIs).<br/><br/>- Expertise in JMeter for load/stress/non-functional tests.<br/><br/>- Skills in Test Planning, Estimation, Strategy, Workload Design.<br/><br/>- Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams (DBA, Dev, Sys Admins).<br/><br/>- Strong troubleshooting and RCA skills for production issues.<br/><br/>- Prior experience with LoadRunner, JMeter, Dynatrace, Splunk.<br/><br/>- Good Oracle DB knowledge (SQL execution plan, AWR, SQLT Reports).<br/><br/><b>Good to Have : </b><br/><br/>- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and container-based applications.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of enterprise integration technologies (Web Services, MQ, DB).<br/><br/>- Experience with Visio, Gantt charts, SharePoint.<br/><br/>- CI integration with performance testing.<br/><br/>- Programming experience in any language.<br/><br/>- Experience with Hudson and Jenkins.</p> (ref:hirist.tech)
