<p><p><b>Description:</b></p><br/><p>We are looking for an experienced and highly analytical Python Automation Test Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad.
</p><p><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate will have 5 years of dedicated experience in automation testing, with a strong focus on data testing and backend testing.
</p><p><br/></p><p>This role requires deep proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with AWS data services.</p><p><br/></p><p> You'll be instrumental in developing robust, scalable automated test frameworks to ensure the quality and integrity of our data pipelines and backend systems.</p><br/><p><b>Mandatory Skills :</b></p><br/><p>- Automation Testing (Expert Level)</p><br/><p>- Python (Expert Level for Test Automation)</p><br/><p>- Data Testing / ETL Testing</p><br/><p>- Backend Testing / API Testing</p><br/><p>- AWS (S3, Lambdas, MWAA, EMR Serverless)</p><br/><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><br/><p>- Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable automation test frameworks and scripts primarily using Python to cover functional, regression, and performance testing.</p><br/><p>Data and Backend Testing :</p><br/><p> - Perform rigorous backend testing for complex applications and services, including validating business logic, data persistence, and performance.</p><br/><p> - Focus heavily on data testing (ETL/ELT), ensuring data accuracy, completeness, transformation logic, and quality across data pipelines.</p><br/><p> - Utilize Python and PySpark to write test cases and perform validation within a Hadoop environment with HDFS.</p><br/><p>AWS Environment Testing :</p><br/><p> - Develop and execute test strategies for applications integrated with key AWS services such as S3 (data storage), Lambdas (serverless functions), Managed Airflow (MWAA) (workflow orchestration), and EMR Serverless (data processing).</p><br/><p> - Ensure the reliability and performance of data ingestion, processing, and output pipelines hosted on AWS.</p><br/><p>Analysis and Problem-Solving :</p><br/><p> - Demonstrate strong analysis and problem-solving capabilities to identify, debug, and trace complex defects within data and backend systems.</p><br/><p> - Interpret data, recognize quality issues or production problems as they arise, and suggest and implement appropriate corrective actions.</p><br/><p>Collaboration and Reporting :</p><br/><p> - Work within an Agile framework (familiarity with agile ways of working is required).</p><br/><p> - Communicate clearly, both verbally and via detailed specifications, test reports, and defect summaries.</p><br/><p> - Maintain excellent organizational skills and demonstrate the capability of working to tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.</p><br/><p><b>Required Qualifications :</b></p><br/><p>- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a dedicated Software Quality Assurance or Test Automation role.</p><br/><p>- Education: A Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or a similar quantitative/technical discipline is highly preferred, OR previous substantial experience in a similar data-centric QA role.</p><br/><p>Technical Expertise :</p><br/><p> - Demonstrable expertise in Python for test automation.</p><br/><p> - Practical experience in testing applications that use PySpark in a Hadoop/HDFS environment.</p><br/><p> - Proven hands-on experience in testing solutions leveraging AWS services including S3, Lambdas, Managed Airflow (MWAA), and EMR Serverless.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
