<p><p><b>Position Overview :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>As Python Tech Lead, you will be the technical cornerstone of next phase of platform evolution.

You will design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance Python/Django applications, driving system architecture, DevOps automation, and database optimisations.

With a hands-on approach, you will ensure timely delivery of features and maintain the robustness of mission-critical services.</p><p><br/>In this role, you will spearhead the migration from MS SQL to PostgreSQL, implement Elasticsearch and Celery optimisations, and integrate external APIs (banking, KYC).

You will lead sprint planning, enforce coding best practices, and uphold DPDP Act, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 compliance.

Your leadership will directly influence ability to deliver data-driven insights at scale.</p><p><br/></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Design and build scalable Python/Django applications, APIs, and workflows.<br/><br/></p><p>- Lead architectural decisions on integrations, microservices, and system design.<br/><br/></p><p>- Manage sprint planning, task allocation, and oversee production deployments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Write, review, and optimise code for performance, scalability, and security.<br/><br/></p><p>- Drive the MSSQL PostgreSQL migration, ensuring data integrity and minimal downtime.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement Elasticsearch, Celery, Django Signals, and other backend optimisation tools.<br/><br/></p><p>- Automate workflows using Python scripts, AI/ML components, and emerging technologies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues with minimal business impact.<br/><br/></p><p>- Mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and enforce coding best practices.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure compliance with security protocols, DPDP Act, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 Success Factors : </b></p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Delivery of high-availability Python/Django services with &lt;0.1% unplanned downtime.<br/><br/></p><p>- Seamless migration to PostgreSQL completed within project timelines and budget.<br/><br/></p><p>- Performance improvements through Elasticsearch and Celery, reducing processing latency by target thresholds.<br/><br/></p><p>- Adoption of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code across development and production.<br/><br/></p><p>- Rapid resolution of production issues, meeting SLAs and minimising business disruption.<br/><br/></p><p>- Growth and retention of a skilled development team through effective mentorship and leadership.<br/><br/></p><p>- Compliance audits passed for DPDP Act, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 without major and Experience :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.<br/><br/></p><p>- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Python Developer, including 23 years in a team lead role.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven track record of designing and deploying large-scale web applications and APIs.<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on expertise with Python/Django, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, and system architecture.<br/><br/></p><p>- Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, IAM, S3), Docker, and CI/CD deployments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Demonstrated ability to integrate external APIs (banking, KYC) and manage data-driven Skills and Competencies : Skills : </b></p><p><br/></p>- Python (Django, Gunicorn, Django Signals)<br/><br/></p><p>- Relational Databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL)<br/><br/></p><p>- DevOps & CI/CD (Docker, AWS EC2/IAM/S3)<br/><br/></p><p>- Backend Tools (Celery, Elasticsearch)<br/><br/></p><p>- API Design & Integration (REST, GraphQL, Banking/Govt APIs)<br/><br/></p><p>- Automation & Scripting (Python, AI/ML basics)<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with Frontend Frameworks (React, React Native, Android Java)<br/><br/></p><p>- Deployment Platforms (Netlify, Vercel) and Open-Source Tools (Apache Skills : </b></p><p><br/></p>- Excellent written and verbal communication<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude<br/><br/></p><p>- Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams<br/><br/></p><p>- Attention to detail in security and compliance Strengths : </b></p><p><br/></p>- Continuous learning and adaptability to emerging tech<br/><br/></p><p>- Customer-centric mindset focused on delivering impact<br/><br/></p><p>- High accountability and ownership of Skills : </b></p><p><br/></p>- Proven ability to mentor and develop engineers<br/><br/></p><p>- Strategic decision-making and architectural vision<br/><br/></p><p>- Stakeholder management and influence across functions<br/><br/></p><p>- Efficient prioritisation and resource allocation</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
