<p><p><b>About the Team : </b><br/><br/>Our Rapid7 Enterprise Application engineering team is a team full of dedicated engineers who are committed to achieving optimal results for Rapid7.<br/><br/>They ensure this by analyzing and debugging production issues and recommending ways to maintain and improve the overall health and wellbeing of the application and its integrations which provides overall improvement for end users.<br/><br/><b>Position Summary : </b><br/><br/>We are looking for a talented and results-driven Integration and Automation Engineer to join our Enterprise Applications team.<br/><br/>This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining integrations and automation solutions using Workato.<br/><br/>The ideal candidate will work closely with Business Systems Analysts to understand requirements, collaborate cross-functionally with other engineers, and partner with Quality Assurance Engineers to ensure that integrations are thoroughly tested and meet business needs.<br/><br/>The engineer will also be responsible for unit testing their work and ensuring proper documentation throughout the development process.<br/><br/>Additionally, this role will involve working within Jira and Confluence for task tracking, documentation and collaboration with various teams.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities : </b><br/><br/>- Integration Development : Design, develop, and maintain integrations between various enterprise systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, Workato, Data Warehouse, etc.) to ensure seamless data flow and process automation.<br/><br/>- Automation Solutions : Build and implement automation workflows using Workato to streamline business processes, reduce manual tasks, and improve system efficiencies.<br/><br/>- Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams : Work closely with engineers from different disciplines within the Enterprise Applications team to design robust integration solutions that align with technical and business requirements.<br/><br/>- Requirement Gathering : Partner with Business Systems Analysts to understand business requirements, identify opportunities for automation, and ensure that the designed integrations meet the needs of the organization.<br/><br/>- Unit Testing & Debugging : Perform unit testing for all integration and automation work.<br/><br/> Ensure that all code is tested thoroughly and debugged to meet quality standards before deployment.<br/><br/>- Collaboration with QA Engineers : Work alongside Quality Assurance Engineers to ensure that integrations and automation workflows are adequately tested, defects are resolved quickly, and solutions meet functional and non-functional requirements.<br/><br/>- Jira Task Management : Use Jira to manage and track tasks, user stories, and bugs related to integrations and automation workflows.<br/><br/> Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.<br/><br/>- Documentation : Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all integrations, automation processes, and workflows.

Ensure that all technical details, configurations, and test results are properly documented for reference.<br/><br/>- Support & Troubleshooting : Provide ongoing support for deployed integrations, troubleshoot issues as they arise, and work to resolve integration and automation challenges promptly.<br/><br/>- Process Improvement : Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and recommending ways to enhance automation processes, increase efficiency, and reduce errors in integration workflows.<br/><br/><b>Key Requirements : </b><br/><br/><b>Experience : </b><br/><br/>- 2+ years of experience in integrations and automation development, with a strong focus on Workato <br/><br/>- Hands-on experience building and maintaining integrations between enterprise applications, such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and other systems.<br/><br/>- Proven experience in working within cross-functional teams, including collaboration with Business Systems Analysts and QA Engineers.<br/><br/><b>Technical Skills : </b><br/><br/>- Strong expertise in using Workato for integrations and automation.<br/><br/>- Solid understanding of API integrations, RESTful services, and data formats (e.<br/><br/>, JSON, XML).<br/><br/>- Proficiency in unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting integration workflows.<br/><br/>- Experience with version control systems such as Git.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with other integration tools and platforms is a plus.<br/><br/><b>Jira Experience : </b><br/><br/>- Comfortable using Jira for task tracking, managing sprints, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.<br/><br/>- Ability to create, update, and manage user stories, tasks, and bugs in Jira, ensuring smooth communication across teams.<br/><br/><b>Communication Skills : </b><br/><br/>- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly.<br/><br/>- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with business teams, engineers, and QA : </b><br/><br/>- Strong analytical skills to identify issues, debug problems, and implement effective solutions in integration and automation processes.<br/><br/><b>Documentation : </b><br/><br/>- Ability to create clear, concise, and organised technical documentation for integrations, workflows, and processes.<br/><br/><b>Education : </b><br/><br/>- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.<br/><br/><b>Nice to Have Qualifications : </b><br/><br/>- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira).<br/><br/>- Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g,, AWS, GCP) and their integration capabilities.<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
