Our clients are overwhelmingly turning to EY for help and guidance on how to enhance the strategy aligned to the client’s business and protect their assets, minimise business disruption and improve security.The opportunityEY is looking for experienced Managers who can provide consulting for organisations on how to define, manage and transform security requirements related to Telecom Sector.

This role will see you take a key position in delivering review engagements by EY Risk Consulting team for various clients and supporting new pursuits related to Telecom Opportunities.

You will also be expected to take a leading role in building out EY’s cyber strategy and telecom security and risk framework working with alliance partners and advise clients on the current market trends.The role will see you providing consulting as part of large multi-discipline EY engagement teams working on the likes of cyber transformation, leading specific security engagements reviewing a client’s cyber maturity, advising on improvement roadmaps, assessing a client’s compliance with telecom industry leading security practice standards.Your key responsibilitiesA large part of your role will be engagement delivery and provide support to executives for business development.

We’ll expect you to lead and deliver telecom infrastructure review/assessment engagements focussed on compliance and security requirements with very minimal supervision.

We also expect you to support executives in development of proposals, presentations and other business development activities.

You will be responsible for the delivery and quality of the review/assessment activities to our clients.You will have responsibility for;
Understand the strategic, technological, organizational, regulatory and technical challenges of operatorsTo provide knowledge on new Telecom technologies (5G, Fiber, FWA and ICT (Managed Connectivity, Cloud, Cybersecurity) as well as the regulation of the sectorHaving depth knowledge in Telecom Infrastructure devices, telecom networks, telecom supporting devices and its architecture.Developing the strategies, policies, plans, programs, and infrastructure of the telecommunications and information technology sectorExperience in reviewing the establishment, operation, and maintenance of public telecommunications networks, and the provisions governing infrastructure sharing by facilities-based service providersUnderstanding on the risks to Telecom industry such as DDoS attacks, Data Breaches etc.Experience in Network Resilience and Segmentation activitiesEnsure a constant watch on trends, innovations and realities in the telecom marketProduce benchmarks to assess performance and identify growth and diversification levers in line with industry best practicesSegmenting targets and anticipating market developmentsDevelop telecom transformation roadmaps, evolution scenarios, governance or process models adaptedTranslating customer issues into concrete and structured recommendationsContribute to the drafting of strategic deliverables and feedback to stakeholdersContribute to business development such as writing proposalsTravelling to MENA region at client premises for engagement delivery (domestic and international)Your role will broadly constitute 60% engagement delivery and 40% business development.Skills and attributes for successAn existing track record of successful engagement delivery in building security strategy and security roadmap is expected of all candidates for this role.

A Big 4 background or comparable consulting experience is highly advantageous.

A broad background across security domains is expected with specific experience in two or more of the following areas, essential;
Knowledge inTelecom security and 7-15 years of hands-on experience with key components of cybersecurity consulting incl.:Telecom Infrastructure Assessments and road-mapping,Telecom Network & infrastructure security,Telecommunication security transformation, threat detection,incident response,vulnerability management,security governance,risk and compliance,security awareness,cloud security Experience in working independently or as part of a large team to delivery Risk services on its own or within large complex projects.Practical experience with conducting risk assessments and testing of controlsExcellent analytical skills and knowledge of data analytics methodsPossession of the CISA, ISO 27001 LA/LI certification or equivalentDemonstrated leadership abilitiesExcellent interpersonal, written, verbal, communication, and presentation skillsExcellent command in written and spoken EnglishExperience in managing professional service project teamsTo qualify for the role, you must haveHigh-level higher education (Engineering degree, master's degree, or equivalent.You have a minimum of 8 years' proven experience in the telecoms sector, in an operator, service provider or consulting firm environmentAbility to structure approaches and deliverablesGood customer and internal communicationGood knowledge of the telecom sector and its technological developmentsGood knowledge of the technical and business challenges of the sectorStrong skills in strategy, marketing or business developmentCommunication skills (oral/written) in EnglishCertifications ISO 27001/ISO 22301/CISA/CISSP/CRISCExcellent communication skills with consulting experience preferredA valid passport for travel.What working at EY offersYou’ll need to be highly motivated, a self-starter and a strong communicator with the ability and experience to discuss technical content in business language to board level.
