Role Overview
We are seeking a Robotics Deployment Engineer who can lead on-site robotic deployments and work across disciplines — electrical, mechanical, and software.
The role involves working with cameras, sensors, motors, drives, PLCs, and robotic arms, while interacting directly with clients to ensure smooth system integration and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation, integration, and calibration of robotic systems at client sites.
- Work with cameras, sensors, motors, drives, and electrical panels for deployment and testing.
- Engage directly with clients to understand requirements and adapt solutions accordingly.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams for full system integration.
- Conduct client site visits for setup, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Review and understand mechanical CAD drawings for mounting, alignment, and component placement.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, deployment checklists, and process documentation.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on execution quality and timelines.
- Integrate and troubleshoot PLC systems and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profinet, CAN, Serial, etc.).
- Work with Linux-based systems for robot control, networking, and diagnostics.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong foundation in PLC systems, industrial automation, and electrical integration.
- Proficiency in Python programming and basic automation scripting.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and command-line tools.
- Hands-on experience with robotic arms or industrial robots (beyond Arduino-level projects).
- Understanding of mechanical CAD models or drawings (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors, and control wiring.
- Experience with industrial protocols (Modbus, Profinet, CAN, Serial).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client interaction skills.
- Ability to handle field work and manage multiple projects independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ROS, machine vision, or AI-based automation systems.
- Prior exposure to robotic commissioning or system integration in industrial settings.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Robotics Engineering.
- Willingness to travel frequently for deployments and client support.
