<p><p><b>Sales Manager (Karnataka, AP & Telangana) Toys & EdTech</b><br/><br/><b>Company:</b> STEM Play Labs<br/><br/><b>Location:</b> Bengaluru/Hyderabad (extensive regional travel)<br/><br/><b>Employment:</b> Full-time<br/><br/><b>About Us</b><br/><br/>- We design export-ready, screen-free STEM toys made in India.<br/><br/>- Flagship lines: Wonder Briks (patent-applied construction system) and Picto Math (math card game).<br/><br/><b>Role Summary</b><br/><br/>- Own revenue and distribution for your region across distributors, modern trade, general trade, and schools.<br/><br/>- Build the network, land listings, drive sell-through, and report market intelligence.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities</b><br/><br/>- Distributor development: Identify, appoint, and manage regional distributors; set targets, pricing, and trade terms.<br/><br/>- Retail execution: Secure listings in modern trade & key independents; ensure planograms, visibility, and promotions.<br/><br/>- Schools/B2B: Drive institutional sales (chains, premium schools, activity centers).<br/><br/>- Forecast & CRM: Monthly/quarterly forecasting, funnel hygiene in CRM, beat plans, and secondary sales tracking.<br/><br/>- Team build-out: Hire/coach ASMs/TSIs/promoters; run training and market work-withs.<br/><br/>- Market intel: Report pricing, competition, FOS feedback, and activation ideas.<br/><br/><b>What Success Looks Like</b><br/><br/>- (KPIs) 090 days: Appoint 58 active distributors; close 5080 priority outlets; 100% top-10 city coverage in region.<br/><br/>- By 6 months: Achieve 90% of quarterly target; top-25 doors with visibility assets; school program launched in 3 cities.<br/><br/>- Run rate: Forecast accuracy 15%; secondary/primary ratio 0.8; CRM compliance Experience: 5-10 years in FMCG/Toys/Stationery/Ed-toys; proven distributor & MT relationships in region.<br/><br/>- Commercial: Strong P&L, pricing, trade schemes, collections, and compliance.<br/><br/>- Execution: Hands-on market working, launches, demos, events; comfortable with weekend activations.<br/><br/>- Language: English + key regional language(s) (e.g., Kannada, Telugu, Hindi).<br/><br/>- Tools: CRM/Excel/PowerPoint; driving license preferred.<br/><br/><b>Nice to Have</b><br/><br/>- Prior Toy/STEM/educational category experience; school channel relationships; promoter team management.<br/><br/><b>Compensation & Benefits</b><br/><br/>- Competitive fixed + performance incentives, travel reimbursement, benefits, and rapid growth path (e.g., Regional Sales Manager track).<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:iimjobs.com)
