Teamware Solutions is seeking a skilled Ruby on Rails Developer with strong expertise in PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.

This role is crucial for designing, developing, and maintaining our web applications, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing significantly to business objectives through expert analysis, full-stack development, implementation, and troubleshooting within the Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and MySQL domain.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Application Development: Design, develop, and implement robust and scalable web applications using the Ruby on Rails framework.

    This includes both back-end logic and front-end integration.
  • Database Management: Work extensively with PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.

    This involves designing database schemas, writing efficient SQL queries, optimizing database performance, and managing data migrations.
  • API Development: Build and maintain RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between the Rails application and other services or front-end clients.
  • Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient Ruby code, adhering to Rails conventions and industry best practices.

    Participate in code reviews to ensure high standards.
  • Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive unit, integration, and functional tests (e.g., RSpec, Capybara) to ensure the reliability and quality of the application.
  • Troubleshooting & Debugging: Perform in-depth troubleshooting, debugging, and issue resolution for complex problems within the Rails application and database interactions.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and implement solutions to optimize application performance, database queries, and overall system scalability.
  • Deployment Support: Assist in the deployment and maintenance of Ruby on Rails applications in production environments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, quality assurance engineers, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

  • Ruby on Rails Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in developing and deploying web applications using the Ruby on Rails framework.
  • Database Proficiency: Proven expertise with PostgreSQL and/or MySQL databases, including schema design, advanced SQL querying, and performance tuning.
  • Web Technologies: Solid understanding of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related front-end frameworks (e.g., jQuery, React, Vue.js).
  • Version Control: Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to software development challenges.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively within a team.
