<p><p><b>About the Job : SAP ABAP Consultant with SCM</b><br/><br/><b>Position : </b> SAP ABAP Consultant with SCM<br/><br/><b>Location : </b> Pune<br/><br/><b>Duration : </b> Full-time<br/><br/><b>Job Description :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated SAP ABAP Consultant with a strong focus on Supply Chain Management (SCM) to join our team on a full-time basis.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing ABAP solutions to support and enhance our SAP SCM landscape.

This role requires a professional with hands-on development experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of SAP SCM processes.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Collaborate with functional teams, business users, and other technical teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for ABAP development within the SCM domain.<br/><br/></p><p>- Design, develop, and implement robust and efficient ABAP solutions, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEF-W), adhering to best practices and coding standards.<br/><br/></p><p>- Provide technical support for existing SAP SCM functionalities, troubleshooting issues, and implementing bug fixes in a timely manner.<br/><br/></p><p>- Perform performance tuning and optimization of ABAP programs to ensure optimal system performance.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop and maintain technical documentation for all developed solutions, including design specifications, test plans, and deployment guides.<br/><br/></p><p>- Conduct thorough unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure high-quality deliverables.<br/><br/></p><p>- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, performance guidelines, and security policies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and ABAP development tools, including S/4HANA specific developments and Fiori/UI5 integration.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects </p><p>simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.<br/><br/></p><p>- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.<br/><br/><p><b>Required Skills and Experience : </b></p><p><br/></p>- Minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven experience in supporting SCM enhancements and developments.<br/><br/></p><p>Strong proficiency in various ABAP development aspects, including : <br/><br/></p><p>- Classical and Interactive Reports<br/><br/></p><p>- Module Pool Programming (Dialog Programming)<br/><br/></p><p>- Function Modules, Subroutines, and Includes<br/><br/></p><p>- SAP Enhancements (User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Spots, BAPIs)<br/><br/></p><p>- Data Migration Techniques (BDC, LSMW, ABAP Workbench)<br/><br/></p><p>- Interfaces (IDocs, RFCs, Web Services)<br/><br/></p><p>- Smart Forms and SAPscript<br/><br/></p><p>- Object-Oriented ABAP<br/><br/></p><p>- Debugging and Performance Tuning tools<br/><br/></p><p>Solid understanding and experience with SAP SCM modules, particularly in areas such as : <br/><br/></p><p>- SAP APO (Advanced Planning and Optimization) : DP, SNP, PP/DS, GATP (highly desirable)<br/><br/></p><p>- SAP MM (Materials Management) : Procurement, Inventory Management, MRP<br/><br/></p><p>- SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) : Order Management, Delivery Processing, Billing<br/><br/></p><p>- SAP LE (Logistics Execution) : Warehouse Management (WM/EWM), Transportation </p><p>Management (TM)<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with S/4HANA developments (AMDP, CDS Views, OData services) is a significant </p><p>plus.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.<br/><br/></p><p>- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.<br/><br/><p><b>Desired Skills (Good to Have) : </b></p><p><br/></p>- Experience with Fiori/UI5 development and integration with backend ABAP services.<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of Workflow development (SAP Business Workflow).<br/><br/></p><p>- Certification in SAP ABAP or relevant SCM modules.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to mentor junior developers and share knowledge</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
