Job Summary:
The SAP ABAP Object-Oriented Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining customized SAP applications using object-oriented ABAP.
The role supports business processes by delivering scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized technical solutions within SAP systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain custom applications using object-oriented ABAP techniques
- Create and enhance SAP reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF)
- Work with user exits, BADI, BAPI, ALV, and enhancement frameworks
- Integrate SAP modules with external systems using IDocs, RFCs, and Web Services
- Debug and resolve issues in existing ABAP programs
- Collaborate with functional consultants to gather and understand business requirements
- Follow SAP development standards and ensure code quality through testing and reviews
- Document technical specifications, code, and deployment steps
- Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development with strong focus on object-oriented programming
- Experience in RICEF objects, OOPs ABAP, BAPI, BADI, ALV, SmartForms, and Adobe Forms
- Good understanding of SAP modules like MM, SD, FI, or HR
- Proficiency in debugging, performance tuning, and version management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA and ABAP on HANA
- Experience with CDS Views, OData services, and Fiori integration
- Knowledge of Agile methodology and DevOps tools
- SAP ABAP certification
