<p><p><b>About the job :</b><br/><br/>We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP/ABAP OO Developer to join our client's team on a permanent basis.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to work on challenging projects and contribute to the development and maintenance of cutting-edge SAP solutions.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Develop, maintain, and enhance SAP applications using ABAP, ABAP OO (Object-Oriented), and CDS (Core Data Services) views.<br/><br/>- Design and implement custom solutions, reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements (RICEFW objects).<br/><br/>- Collaborate with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.<br/><br/>- Optimize database performance by implementing efficient programming and data retrieval techniques.<br/><br/>- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and other technical problems.<br/><br/>- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to deployment and post-go-live support.<br/><br/>- Adhere to best practices for coding, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.<br/><br/><b>Professional & Technical Skills :</b><br/><br/><b>Must-Have Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Strong programming background in ABAP/ABAP OO and CDS : Extensive hands-on experience in developing and debugging complex ABAP programs, including report programs, function modules, and BAdIs. Proficiency in creating and utilizing CDS views for data modeling and reporting.<br/><br/>- Experience with database management and optimization techniques : Proven ability to write efficient database queries and optimize code for performance, especially in a large-scale enterprise environment.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with SAP HANA architecture and data modeling : Understanding of how HANA's columnar database and in-memory capabilities impact development.
Knowledge of creating and optimizing CDS views for SAP HANA.<br/><br/>- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve software defects effectively : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix technical issues in a timely manner.<br/><br/><b>Good-to-Have Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Knowledge of ABAP RAP (Restful Application Programming) model : Experience with building Fiori-based applications using the ABAP RAP framework.<br/><br/>- Experience with OData services : Knowledge of creating and consuming OData services for integration with front-end technologies like SAP Fiori.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with SAP Cloud Integration : Understanding of how to integrate SAP systems with other cloud and on-premise applications using technologies like SAP CPI.<br/><br/><b>Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Experience : 5-12 years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development.<br/><br/>- Job Location : PAN India.<br/><br/>- Type of Employment : Permanent.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
