<p><p>We are seeking a skilled SAS Developer with expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining SAS programs for data extraction, transformation, and reporting within banking operations.<br/><br/> The ideal candidate will support analytics initiatives such as credit risk, fraud detection, regulatory compliance, and customer behavior analysis while delivering automated reports and dashboards for internal and regulatory use.</p><p><br/></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Design, develop, and maintain efficient SAS programs for data extraction, transformation, and reporting aligned with banking business processes.<br/><br/></p><p>- Support analytics projects related to credit risk assessment, fraud detection, regulatory compliance (RBI, BASEL, AML), and customer behavior analysis.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop automated SAS reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.<br/><br/></p><p>- Perform data validation, conduct data quality checks, and carry out root cause analysis to resolve data issues.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate closely with business users, data scientists, and IT teams to understand requirements and deliver effective SAS-based data solutions.<br/><br/></p><p>- Document technical specifications, data lineage, workflows, and project deliverables comprehensively.<br/><br/></p><p>- Utilize SAS tools such as BASE SAS, SAS Data Integration (DI) Studio, SAS Visual Analytics (VA), and SAS Viya effectively.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work with relational database management systems (RDBMS) like Oracle and SQL Server; proficient in OS Unix, Unix shell scripting, and Windows environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Translate customer requirements and solution designs into SAS-based implementations using appropriate tools, techniques, and interfaces.<br/><br/></p><p>- Build and maintain SAS DI Studio jobs and job flows within Platform LSF, troubleshooting and resolving job failures promptly.<br/><br/></p><p>- Create detailed reports and develop interactive dashboards using visualization objects (line charts, pie charts, tree maps, region maps, bar graphs, gauges, etc.) to analyze business problems and provide actionable & Skills :</b></p><p><b><br/></b></p><p>- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven experience as a SAS Developer in the banking or financial services domain.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong expertise in SAS programming including BASE SAS, SAS DI Studio, SAS VA, and SAS Viya.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with RDBMS like Oracle and SQL Server.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficient in Unix/Linux operating systems and shell scripting.<br/><br/></p><p>- Solid understanding of data management concepts and ETL processes.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in developing automated reports and dashboards for regulatory and business use.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
